Almost every mid major team in the country has 1-3 games like this. UNI almost lost to Dubuque University the other night. Took some friendly officiating in the 2nd half to pull it out. (26 fouls to 10, 37 free throws to 9)

^^^^^^ I am not the one who posted the above.

No question that Football is more popular sport in NCAA and America. Some people don't like hockey, some people do. Some people like both hockey and football.......but to compare the level of play of FCS football vs. NCAA hockey is a quick way to lose all credibility in discussing sports.

I am not a big Brian Jones fan and as has been pointed out in this thread Faison dropped the ball on his contract situation and for now it is what it is. As far as winning the Summit, are you saying as long as we win the Summit once every 9 years you are good with that or are the other 8 programs all looking to fire their coaches every year they don't win the league as well?

Ha. Unless they are providing comedic content on a daily or evenly several times a day like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez....that is pure comedy gold. Sometimes the best humor as in the tweet above is unintentional humor.

Saw this on Twitter....just so desperate to be big time. Sad and funny at the same time.

It wasn't an issue of NDSU taking recruits "from" Brewster since he didn't recruit them as he as busy trying to pull 4 and 5 stars from Texas. There were a few players at NDSU who should have had full rides to Minnesota offered and many others who could have easily played for his Minnesota teams. If Brewster doesn't have a ring or two from NDSU it is at worst criminal and at the very least not very neighborly like. Still can't believe Brewster blocked me on twitter.
-
One can not overlook one of the biggest factors in NDSU's success. If NDSU didn't give Brewster at least 2 rings it is criminal on their part.

Not with Gene Taylor at K State. Have heard him and Craig aren't exactly friendly anymore.
-
Bohl didn't handle things as well as Klieman. The thing that created hard feelings when Bohl left was he and his coaching staff tried to flip some recruits to Wyoming while the rest of the Bison staff was trying to keep their recruits committed...don't think that will be a factor this time as NDSU and K-State are not competing for the same type of athlete.

I think there is a big difference between D1 Men's Basketball and FCS Football. In basketball, being in a 1 bid league(1 out of 9 teams makes the tournament in the Summit), ideally you would be in the top half of the conference most seasons and have a shot of winning your conference tournament...the other teams in the conference have the same expectations. Contrary to the belief of some the other teams in the conference don't just field teams for us to have someone to play. I am not a huge fan of Jones but he met these criteria most years in the Big Sky. As someone pointed out, Faison dropped the ball on his contract which then put us in a tough spot following the NCAA tournament year. I am torn right now because I am actually intrigued by this current team and think the next couple of years could be fun to watch. This team really misses Marlon Stewart and I think they have a shot to finish in top half of the Summit. Anyone who watches FCS football realizes it doesn't take much to make the playoffs. Hell, we seem like we have been half assing it and we are still easily in the top 25% of teams in the division and 20% make the playoffs. It will be interesting to see if their are any competitive games this weekend as the field is cut from 8 to 4.

Well Grand Forks Bantams did finish ranked in top 2 the last 2 seasons for Minnesota Bantams...I realize that includes Red River and Central but I believe a good majority of the kids on the AA team we're from GFC
-
Heard Carter Randklev is injured and out for rest of season for The Force.
-
Not sure where he is as far as age goes but if he was still able to play Bantams that might have been the better choice. 60+ games against good Minnesota teams vs. 20 games and a limited role against a mixed bag of ND competition.
-
From my understanding if they had determined that Kawaguchi's penalty was only a minor they couldn't call anything but since they determined it was a major they were able to call it even though none was called on the ice during play.
-
Do these announcers know the game is on TV and people can see that UND hasn't actually committed 12 uncalled penalties so far.
-
Rauhauser would be in the same category. Would be nice kid to have being from Bismarck but wonder what his development would have been here his first two years as his ice time would have likely been limited?
-
bingo. It is why Gopher fans struggle when they lose because they have watched those kids dominate at the bantam and high school level for so long.

I think they knew what the problem was. They just didn't do a good job of fixing it. Holmgren wants to win now and trade prospects from their now deep farm system while Hextall who rebuilt their farm system didn't want to do that. They had used 5 goalies in their first 23 games. They have their goalie of the future in 20 year Carter Hart playing his first season in the AHL right now and don't want to rush him to the NHL.

I would say that our issues on offense this season first became pretty apparent during the Sam Houston State game
