The first one was not a touchdown. The 2nd one is a touchdown for those with common sense, however that type of play was ruled as an incomplete pass a couple times this year. Pretty crazy how good QB's can be in this league when they decide not to call holding on the offensive lines all day. I couldn't believe they let the Eagles off the hook twice on the final play. Hogan got decked about 20-25 yards downfield on the final play which is illegal contact and another down at a minimum. He gets up and makes his way toward the scrum at the goal line only to be interfered with and pushed away from the play which would have been pass interference and a first down at the 1 or 2 yard line and another snap. probably the way the NFL season should end.

Nope. I think Plante was asleep for a few seconds. From the other end of rink and even first replay it looked like the Denver forward floated a pass for Plante to skate into and shoot and it looked like Smith was moving toward the puck and reaching for it at same time.....from the second replay, all of this remains true but when Smith realizes he isn't going to get to the puck first he lifts his forearm/shoulder/elbow to make contact and hits Plante in the head. This is the same view the referee had and not sure why they even conferenced to discuss it.

Watched it live from the other end and thought it was questionable. Got home and watched the replay on TV and after seeing the first replay which was from the side of ice where the team benches were I thought, Ok, maybe 2 minutes and then saw the replay from the penalty box side of the ice and it was a no-brainer 5 minute penalty and game misconduct.

Or have refs call obstruction and interference beyond the first 2 weekends.

I think him being from Finland greatly hurts his chances of being on Team Sweden. It is amazing that in a year that NHL guys are not playing that a kid who would be playing in the NHL this year if he had left Denver isn't on the Finland Olympic Team.

I am not really against a mascot per se. But the fact that the last time we had one it was an embarrassment to the school, state and region makes me a little leery. Then when you consider the whole nickname process that eventually gave us a mediocre name and the sh!tty logo we have now and......well it is a little hard to have trust that this will turn out alright.
