Wow! I guess it is true what they say. Figures Lie and Liars figure. That is some pretty fuzzy math on display. And by the way, I attend about the same percentage of football games as I do hockey. A total of 291,692 fans attended Hockey and Football games last year when you combine the attendance. 239,692(82%) of those fans were in the seats at The Ralph and 52,129(18%) of those fans were in the seats of The Alerus.

As far as North Dakota producing girls capable of playing a division 1 sport, Hockey currently lags behind Basketball, Volleyball, Softball, and Track. Probably more in line with Gymnastics and Soccer.

Vermillion, yes. Sioux Falls is a nice city with lots to do. Similar to Fargo. Brookings is like a smaller Grand Forks. Great college town.

As I said before. for me I look at the floor or ice or turf initially when their is a new design and after that I don't really pay attention. As far as the Sioux logo vs. The hawk logo, big difference in recognition there and with the non ice sports the Hawk logo will likely not ever have national recognition just due to us being a small fish in the big NCAA pond in those sports.

Sad, but true. I watched the University of North Dakota Softball team play on ESPN in the NCAA tourney a few days ago.

Seeing the actual layout when finished actually makes me like this even better than the interlocking UND at center court. If we have highlights that make ESPN or National Sports coverage(like Geno breaking some kids ankles) it lets people know who we are right away. Putting the logo at center court would not accomplish that and having the full name "Fighting Hawks" with the logo on the ends also helps with identity. Looks good!

Football ticket sales minus expenses = X Revenue directed toward football program from REA is likely >X and if you have to ask whether a private(or somewhat private) entity is more capable of responsibly handling a budget vs. a government run entity I don't know how to explain it, but in a nutshell one of them has to actually meet a budget and be fiscally responsible and the other one doesn't.

Doesn't always translate. Wilkie led the USHL in goal scoring his last year of juniors. Cichy was the best player in the league his last year of juniors. Completely dominant in the playoffs in leading Indiana to the title.

Toews essentially spent what would have been his senior year of high school playing as a freshman at UND and looking at birthdates it is possible Kariya did the same? The problem with labeling a player a blue chipper for a college team based on his NHL draft position can be a little tricky. Depending on the NHL team and their needs they will sometimes take a shot on a "project" who because of size or late development they feel could develop. Players like these are going to develop in college but may not contribute much.
