Agree on ASU, but I don't think WMU wants to leave the NCHC and when Bergeron was at Bowling Green he was working to try and get them into the NCHC which would be welcomed by WMU and Miami.

That was great! I had to work the week leading up to that in the Twin Cities so I ended up on the Charter flight with about 75% Gopher fans which also meant we were at the same hotel and used same ground transport. They were pretty quiet and it was enjoyable going to our pregame event for the Denver game and if they wanted a ride they had to go with. I remember Spirko walking their D in the 3rd place game at the X and Minnesota downplaying the game as unimportant which led to Andy Schneider's comment about every game meaning something when he pulled on a UND jersey. We went East for the NCAA Tournament and collected our very own Beanpot Title! We took penalty after penalty and it didn't matter. Every failed power play just demoralized them more and more. Playing the Gophs in the All WCHA Semifinal game was the first time I saw a team just quit in a game of that magnitude. We got the lead and we would dump the puck in and starting towards the end of the 2nd period the Gopher Defenseman would just coast in to retrieve the puck and try and win a stick battle instead of getting to the puck first as they just did not want to get hit anymore. If we had today's replay standards we probably win the National Title as Fabian clearly scored to give us the lead in the 2nd period and while that wasn't our best team, it was a team that simply did not lose when they had the lead as they could just completely shut a game down. The picture of Mannino with the puck obviously in his glove and his whole arm from the shoulder on down behind the crossbar still upsets me.

Compromise. Have each team buy 500 tickets at... lets go with $250/each as a fair price and they can use them how they see fit. that limits UND to 500 tickets and helps cover the finances.

I would put CC ahead of these teams-- Canisius, RIT, Sacred Heart, Merceyhurst, Bentley, Niagara, Air Force, Holy Cross, Ohio State, Michigan State, Colgate, St. Lawrence, Merrimack, UNH, Vermont, Maine, Miami, NMU, Huntsville, Ferris State, LIU, and Arizona State and I would question whether the record of teams like Army and RMU would look any better if they played CC's schedule.

The dominance in hockey by the Grand Forks Schools is impressive, comparable to Bismarck High Wrestling. Saw this the other idea and it is pretty incredible. 62 State Wrestling Tournaments held in North Dakota---1st place 39 times, runner up 15 times, 3rd place 8 times...never finished lower than 3rd. 22 Dual State Wrestling Tournaments held in North Dakota---1st place 17 times, runner up 5 times...

The Bison are the Bison...first time in awhile they don't have an NFL QB but they have talent all over the field and any team will have to play real well to beat them and probably win the turnover battle by +2 at least.

Bracket integrity can be manipulated this year because you don't actually know with absolute certainty what the rankings are ahead of time. I have always thought they put too much emphasis on seed lines in the past as well. I think that if you can flip #9 and #12 around for attendance or to avoid conference matchups you shouldn't have an issue flipping #8 and #10 around for the same reasons.

True, although I would say you had at least a 60-70% chance that an NCHC team would gave won the title again last season although if Mankato found away to get through a regional those odds would have went down a bit.

Buck Pitchers at the Spud 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Buck Pitchers at the Bridge 3 p.m.-7 p.m. 2 for 1's at the Bridge 7 p.m.-9 p.m. Head over to the Antique and Whitey's until closing time and back to campus to rest since We were probably hosting an All Campus party on Saturday night.

Went to Frenchy's my first night in Grand Forks. Ordered and paid for a Mug. Didn't make it back there until I was of legal age 3 1/2 years later. They never could find my mug and I couldn't find my card after several moves(dorm to fraternity to apartment) I would love to have a Mug if anyone knows of any thrift stores that may have some.
