I know that Mike Hastings and Bliss Littler have a long term friendship going back to their USHL coaching days. May have played a factor as I would expect that Cade has known Hastings nearly his entire life. The fact the Mankato offered him at 17 is interesting as well.

I did not watch the game. I am saying if a team is taking cheap penalties then I have no problem rolling the top power play unit out to score some more. I have seen our coaches do it many times. Score is out of hand and game is over and the other team gets an interference or tripping penalty then roll out the 2nd unit or the 3rd and 4th lines, they two hand a guy or run someone from behind, screw it, make them pay.

I don't have a problem with it. If it was a tripping penalty or interference penalty then I get it but UNO's last 4 penalties in this game were roughing, cross checking, cross checking(with a 10 minute misconduct) and a boarding call so load up and fire away.

Umm. We went 1-4-3 and finished 8th in 1994. Since the 1980 Miracle year... 1984---2-2-2 7th 1988---3-3-0 7th 1992---5-2-1 4th Went 2-3 and finished 7th with a team put together in similar fashion to this team in 2018.

I remember talking with Blais at Peppers in Fargo after the 2003-2004 season. This was probably in May or June. He said Parise had been back in Grand Forks and was broken up to the point of tears and very regretful that he had signed after the season and said it was a huge mistake. Of course this probably triggered Bochenski to sign over the summer as well and then Blais ended up in Columbus in September. Can you imagine the 2004-2005 team with Parise and Bochenski? They finished second to Denver in Columbus and if we had todays replay rules would have won the national title in all liklihood since that team did not blow leads and the go ahead goal we scored would have counted. if you remember Mannino made a glove save so you knew the puck was in his glove and his glove was 2 feet deep in the net.

The Palace Princesses! Have a couple great stories from that weekend when Ralph brought a plane full from Vegas. Too long to type it all out but we were staying at the Ramada that weekend which is where Ralph's entourage was as well. Hotel Bar stayed open until about 2:30-3 on Saturday night for those who were still there at 1 am. Had poolside rooms which turned out to be beneficial once the bar closed, some nice scenery. One part of story that we still laugh about. George(i think) who was one of Ralph's guys who had fingers as thick as my wrists came over to us and informed us the bar would be staying open a little later tonight if we wanted to stay and shook(crushed) all our hands. Went up to the bar to get a couple drinks for the table and George was up there getting a round as well and a couple of the girls were like "Geoooorge, can you buy us a drink" so he has them tell the bartender what they wanted and he makes the drinks and comes back to George and says $19.75 or something like that and George reaches in his pocket and pulls out a stack of cash and starts peeling through about 50-60 100's and all of a sudden stops and grabs a 50 and looks at it like how did that little guy get in there and throws it on the bar and walks away.
