Unfortunately, we have some in our fanbase who are ignorant and have developed an attitude of elite condescension that used to run rampant and probably still does exist in the Gopher fanbase. The main aspect is that the other Colleges and Universities really only field hockey teams so that UND has someone to play.

He seemed pretty gung ho when he got to campus. Then it seemed like he disappeared for awhile? When he has spoken at UND Booster luncheons he seems to really like being involved in the detailed minutia of the NCAA as a whole and maybe not directing his energy towards UND....just impression I get.

They are both pretty safe as far as Pairwise goes with SCSU having a 99.8% chance to make the tournament and UMD at 92%. UMD would probably have a pairwise high enough to get in the tournament but need to make sure they keep their overall record at .500 or higher. IF SCSU sweeps in Duluth this weekend then UMD would have to win their playoff series to be even considered for the NCAA tournament. Even losing a series 2-1 would eliminate them. Basically, UMD needs to win at least one game this weekend or win their playoff series.

Because it has happened once when there wasn't another option. WCHA had 3 of the 2 seeds, 2 of the 3 seeds and UND was a 1 seed. So #2 Denver had to play #3 Wisconsin in Madison and UND was the 1 seed in that region against Princeton. Also love the guy with 30 posts asking the guy with 8k+ if he is new...Fantastic!

I used to make the St. Cloud trip every year. Have met some great St. Cloud hockey fans. Some great places to stand and watch game at the Arena as I hate sitting. Howie's pregame, bus to the game, bus back to Howie's. Maybe catch a meat raffle or with luck you have a great band playing at the Carpet. Grab some Gary's Pizza on Saturday afternoon. Green Mill and the Lobby at Kelly Inn was always fun and some fun dive bars like MC Dugout and the Press Bar before it was burned down. Maybe catch a cab and check out Sugar Daddy's.

It does get old. Someone on Social Media will say something along the lines of "I can't believe UND dropped women's hockey" or "Are they trying to bring back women's hockey" or "It is disgraceful they don't have women's hockey" Someone responds "Just 60 million to reboot" or "Did you go to any games or support the program in any way?" crickets wait a couple weeks and another uninformed virtue signaling idiot starts the cycle again.

I remember school being cancelled 1 day while I was at UND 1984-90. Brutal snowstorm. Thankfully a couple guys in our house had been snowmobiling over the weekend so they had their sleds on a trailer out back. Ended up coordinating a pretty good rager that afternoon/evening over at the Beta house. Guys gave everyone rides from our house to the Beta house and then we worked the phones and made sorority and dorm runs to pick up some co-eds as automobile traffic was not an option, and walking was not advisable.

Good coaching move if you get away with it unpunished....Hak was great at that cat and mouse game before they cracked down on it....I remember we had a lead but we're hanging on for our lives and we iced the puck and 2-3 guys including MacWilliam tried to get off the ice...they caught the two forwards but Mac had got to the bench and Blood jumped on and was almost at the circle and then they discussed it and told him to get back to the bench so he did and Mattson jumped out and took his spot. They were getting ready to drop the puck and the other linesmen skated in and told Mattson to go to the bench so he did and Blood came back out and they dropped the puck...this all took a good 40-50 seconds.
