I know Minnesota played both Central Michigan and Florida St. in basketball....I had a little email exchange with Maturi a few years back after they were selling Sioux merchandise at the John while the Sioux were in town and in fact our swim teams were right next door at a meet as well.(non-conference). I told him to run down the hall and apologize to Tubby for the upcoming forfeits he had coming up on the schedule wth the Chippewas and Seminoles.

The loss to Sioux Falls was bad in the fact that they were an NAIA team.....truth be told they were the 2nd best team in the Dakotas that year.

I used to pull for Kansas as well. great tradition and always one of the programs that carried itself with respect and dignity.....then they hired Bill Self and he is turning them into a dirtbag program...so unfortunate.

He is a pretty good offensive player and could develop into a very good 2 way defensemen in the WCHA, but I wouldn't say he is exactly like Genoway in that he is also a very physical defensemen and usually is agood for 2 or 3 huge hits a night as well.

I am looking forward to Tampa! Nice arena, lots of activities and establishments in the area. Golf.....and I guess it doesn't hurt that my college friend has a place on the gulf!

I would just like to see some supporters from Spirit Lake and Standing Rock at the table...Don't care that much if it is open to press or not, but no need to bring the rabble rousers in to turn it in to a clusterf&%k. The meeting is about finding out if the NCAA might be agreeable to changng or altering their stance not re-opening the debate on the name, that has been done and will continue to be done forever anyway.

Depending upon who they are able to bring in to replace him.....this is a huge loss for the program right now.

And UMD will still be in the WCHA too!
