  1. Nice to see some other posts that are reasonable and actually have some perspective in this thread thought I had maybe posted in the overreaction game thread for a while or something.
  2. Love all the overreactions in this thread. I thought we were the better team for most of the game and really dominated puck possession. Needed to get more shots to the net and be a little more aggressive on the rush instead of settling for the outside. Today doesn't change anything this team is still as capable as anyone of winning the national championship. Really hope the NCHC looks at getting this thing out of Target Center soon horrible ice for the 2nd straight year and so many weird bounces.
  3. Great comeback by Georgia State two upsets so far and both against Big 12 teams.
  4. The tournament has usually started with an eastern game so I would expect the Fargo times to be 3:30 and 7 CT with the Manchester times being 1 and 4:30 CT.
  5. Can't believe Northeastern didn't get a shot off when they had a chance to try to tie or win it. Glad to see UAB send Iowa St. home.
  6. I have Kentucky over Duke for the championship and North Carolina and Villanova also making the final 4. I think Kansas is the highest seed I have going out on the 1st weekend after a loss to Wichita State in the 2nd round.
  7. I don't think we will have to wait until September for Sano I would guess he comes up for good probably around July and wouldn't be surprised if they called him right up from AA without ever playing a AAA game. I really hope May or Meyer gets that 5th spot in the rotation I haven't been impressed with Milone at all he can be the long guy out of the bullpen.
  8. Played pretty decent created a lot of chances Marble was better for CC tonight. Limited CC's scoring chances and kept them to the outside pretty well aside from a couple 3 minute or so lapses but those lapses are the kinds of things that can end your season in a one and done scenario so hopefully we can clean that up. Some real nice goals from the Sioux tonight all 3 set up because of great assists the first one by N.Schmaltz and Parks, then Mattson after a nice switch play with Pogo, and then Pogo. Was there any doubt Gaarder would finish on the game winner in that scenario it is what he does.
  9. BSU had a great chance to force game 3 with about 30 secs left in the OT but Motte came up big 2nd OT is on the way.
  10. Vikings cut Greg Jennings I figured he would need to restructure his contract maybe he wasn't willing to do that.
  11. I don't know if the NCHC would but I would much rather have hockey schools like Bemidji and Mankato over Arizona State. I really wish one of those B1G teams would drop hockey and we could go back to the old WCHA maybe Ohio State could make that happen it isn't like they really support it now.
  12. Thought we came out kinda flat and got off to a slow start but definitely got better as the game went on. The d-men were very active and got better at dealing with the CC trap as the game went on. The Gaarder line continues to be very good and the Simonson line had a nice night tonight as well. Really liked Luke Johnson's game tonight creating chances for himself as well as his teammates. Glad to see Nick and Drake on the same line tonight and they looked good, looked like Hak moved Parks to that line for at least the last half of the 3rd so it will be interesting to see if he goes with the same combos he ended with tonight or decides to go back to the lines that he started with tonight.
  13. Vikings trade a 5th round pick for Mike Wallace and a 7th round pick. I don't mind the move its a low risk high reward type. Just glad the Vikings finally made a move for something other than a backup.
  14. I think the Twins will be improved and hang around .500 and probably end up around 80 wins. The offense should be pretty solid but CF is still a big question mark and the starting pitching should be better with the addition of Ervin Santana. The thing I'm mostly looking forward to though is seeing guys like Meyer, Sano, Buxton, and maybe Berrios make their debuts throughout the year
  15. None of the players on Hermantown's team this year are committed yet but there are some good prospects. Bowen was the only Class A player in the tournament committed to a college.
  16. Looks like they will return 5 forwards and 2 defensemen who played pretty regularly but lose 11 seniors including 3 goalies and I'm not sure what they have coming up. As long as Loven and Tweten don't go to juniors next year though they will still have probably the top 2 forwards in the section and the top defenseman as well in Selk and I think 8A will be pretty open next year so they could at least get back down to the X.
  17. The unfortunate collision between his head and the players knee only happened because of the cross check by the other Miami player and that should have been called it was a pretty easy one that they missed.
  18. Not much energy or sense of urgency for the Wild for most of tonight in a game that they really needed with the tough stretch coming up. Gotta have a win Tuesday against New Jersey because after that you got 5 pretty tough games with Anaheim, @St. Louis, @Nashville, Washington, and St. Louis.
  19. Hopefully someone puts a beatdown on him before the end of this thing and I wouldn't mind another one for McLeod either.
  20. I know with coaches they can't talk about specific recruits until they sign an NLI but I'm not sure on boosters. I do believe Lou is still working on the fundraising project for new facilities so he is still pretty closely related to the university. I think Clymer said something similar about the Aamodt kid from Hermantown. I can't remember exactly what he said but I thought it was something about giving Lucia his phone number and telling him to call this kid.
  21. I checked them out and thought most made sense. I'm not a big fan of Rogers and St.Michael Albertville being in 8AA but there weren't all that many teams to pick from an put into 8AA I guess. I imagine there will still be some moving around with some teams dropping co-ops to be able to move back down to A.
  22. I've seen plenty of both teams and I still would rather face Michigan State. I know Minnesota has been pretty average along with the rest of the B1G and yesterday they looked completely disinterested against Ohio State but they still have a bunch of talent that I think will put it together at some point and I don't want them to put it together against us.
  23. If the option is them or someone like Minnesota I'll take Michigan State every time.
  24. Lakeville North completes the perfect season with a 4-1 over Duluth East.
