Vikes not officially eliminated from the playoff race today but the focus now has to be all about McCarthy development the rest of this season, either he starts to show some signs on improving especially accuracy or you are QB shopping come March.

I mean if you kick a touchback they get to start at the 35, for most teams then they only need 25-30 yards to have a decent shot at a field goal.

Really set the tone from the puck drop last night and then turned up the heat again in the 3rd. Lot of depth on this team that can create offense.

Really nice effort after probably the worst in KOC's time as head coach in LA. Defense doing what they did to that offense was certainly impressive.

What a dud of a performance tonight. Everything looked like half speed, all around sloppy, really soft on pucks. Continue to struggle in the net with bad rebounds. Got lost in dzone a number of times again. Not many chances offensively from quality scoring areas.

Kinda the end result you expect going into this series. Defensively thought we had some lapses this weekend. Let Minnesota speed get behind us a few times for odd man opportunities. Little bit of overpassing at times tonight. Just not the same level of intensity and urgency tonight. Homer has to handle shots better especially with the glove, allowing too many rebounds and just wasn’t real sharp tonight.

Much more middle of the pack then bottom half under Fleck with a couple of years in the hunt to win the west, now with no more divisions it is hard to ever think they will get to the B1G Championship. Basically looking for the type of season like Indiana had last year as the high end.

I mean I follow UND football too, had a Kelby Kosterman jersey growing up. I still follow both but I am much much more invested in Gopher football. Your takes on the Big 10 make it pretty clear you do not follow the conference closely at all.

Gophers will lose 3 TEs after this season. Rohl is the only Y TE in the class as Voss and Weaver are more H types. Voss in particular is very versatile and they plan to use in some wildcat type stuff as well.

Haha you are believing ESPN's FPI for rankings, I'd rather look at programs over the last few years. You look at that list and you have multiple teams that just beat teams listed higher on that list last week yet they are several spots below them.

Minnesota and it really isn't a tough decision. National TV every week, more $$$$. Interesting comment about 12 other Big 10 teams about Minnesota who? The clear ones are Ohio State, Oregon, Penn State, and Michigan. Other than that there isn't much difference especially when you start looking at teams records over the last 3-4 years. My biggest complaint with Fleck is at times he gets much too conservative in game playing risk averse.

Shocked they were able to get something for Howell. Wentz knows the offense having spent time in LA. I do think if McCarthy were to miss time after the first few weeks we see Brosmer over Wentz.
