  1. So Hak should get no credit for winning 25 games a year but also get all the blame when we lose in the NCAA tournament? That makes perfect sense Hak is a very good coach and will be a great coach when he wins a NCAA Championship. You can think Hak is "totally replaceable" if you want but it isn't true.
  2. I agree with you I'll take my chances being contenders every year.
  3. Yeah its not like he has any better idea of what kind of coach Hak is and what he can do than some poster on a message board that has never been in that locker room or been coached by the guy.
  4. I don't think he had much of a choice he gave Cam a couple starts and if Cam would have been solid in those games he probably would have ended up playing a few more games but he really struggled in his starts and Zane even had to come in to finish those games.
  5. It was a late call from the center ice official I believe to make it even worse.
  6. If Zane is back there is no way he is backing up some freshmen that hasn't even played in the USHL. Tomek might have the hype but I would feel much more confident in the teams chances next year if Zane is back starting 75-80% of the games rather than an untested freshman. Also Wilkie is a right handed shot.
  7. Really liked the way Jordan was playing at the end of the year so I'm really hoping we get another year of him but I do think he is the biggest risk to sign. If we do get everyone back next years team could have even more depth than this years had.
  8. There wasn't much of an elbow there the BU kid sold it pretty well. Didn't even look like Schmaltz tried to initiate contact more like the BU guy just skated in to him with his head down. BU got away with a number of elbows and hooks last night but that really was no surprise with Marco Hunt reffing.
  9. Wild beat Nashville 4-2 last night without Dubnyk, Parise, Nino, and Vanek. Would be big for the Wild to win and Chicago lose on Saturday as they would move up to the 3 seed and face Nashville in the 1st round.
  10. Thank you Steph, Connor, Michael, Nick, Mark, Brendan, and Andrew for all you contributed to this program on and off the ice. You guys did everything you could to bring us #8 and left it all on the ice you will always be part of the Fighting Sioux Family!
  11. I don't think Zane will want to go out after the performance tonight but who knows I've thought all along he would probably sign if we won the National Championship and come back if we didn't. Jordan I could see signing but I really think another year would help him.
  12. I really should have known the "fire Hak" idiots would come back out of hiding now
  13. Just a disappointing end to the season feels like we are just jinxed when it comes to the Frozen Four lately. This one felt similar to the Michigan semi at the X a few years ago. Tons of chances 3 or 4 posts/crossbars but just couldn't convert on enough of them and BU converted on their good chances while Zane struggled for one of the only times all season. Whoever made the call to have Marco Hunt and his buddy ref tonight deserves some credit handing BU 2 powerplays early on very questionable calls and then taking Pattyn to the box with Rodrigues after that cheap ass came off the bench and slashed Pattyn in the neck. Hopefully we get everyone back to take care of unfinished business I really can't see Zane wanting to end his Fighting Sioux career the way it went tonight.
  14. Grant Mismash headed to the NTDP Chris Dilks ‏@ChrisDilks 10m10 minutes ago NTDP announces first ten commitments for next year's U17 team http://sbnation.com/e/8140772?utm_campaign=sbncollegehockey&utm_content=chorus&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter …
  15. Believe Pratt visited UND earlier this season Chris Dilks ‏@ChrisDilks 34m34 minutes ago Shattuck-St. Mary's '99 F Austin Pratt expected to sign with Red Deer of WHL http://sbnation.com/e/8136822?utm_campaign=sbncollegehockey&utm_content=chorus&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter …
  16. Hopefully getting back on the road tonight helps the Wild get back to winning. For whatever reason they have been a much better team on the road than at home these last few weeks.
  17. Completely agree I'm kinda hoping Pelfrey and Milone struggle and they call up May and Meyer to take their places in the rotation.
  18. Sounds like it will be Pelfrey in the rotation instead which is typical.
  19. MLB Communications ‏@MLB_PR 9m9 minutes ago Twins pitcher Ervin Santana has received an 80-game suspension without pay after testing positive for Stanozolol. Guess the rotation won't be that improved.
  20. If not for the off the field issues, I believe most involved drugs, with Green Beckham he would definitely be the top WR and I wouldn't mind at all if the Vikes took him in the 2nd round. I think they have bigger needs than DE and I'm not real high on Beasley or Gregory but if Mizzou DE Shane Ray dropped to #11 I wouldn't mind him. I can't see Cooper getting to #11 but would love it if he did. Not a huge fan of Scherff especially after watching him closely against the Gophers and that was a game he really struggled in. I really like the LSU OL La'el Collins to fill the LG spot and I think you could probably trade down and still get him.
  21. I like Duke Johnson from Miami and David Cobb from Minnesota in the 3rd/4th range I've seen Cobb tweet for the Vikings to just let it happen so I guess he wants to stay in MN. I wouldn't be surprised to see them taking an RB no matter what in the draft but depending on what happens with AP will play a big role into when they take an RB. If AP isn't gonna play in MN they will probably take one in the top 3 rounds while even if he does end up coming back and playing in MN I could see them taking a RB in the 6th/7th range if they want to replace Asiata who I believe is in the last year of his deal. I'm interested to see what the Vikes will do in round 1. They still could use upgrades at a number of spots. I really wouldn't mind if they trade down this year and pick up a few more picks but if they stay at #11 some players I like who could/should be available are CB-Trae Waynes, S-Landon Collins, and WR-Devante Parker.
  22. If we get Zane back for another year he is a proven commodity and gonna be playing the majority of games and if that meant Tomek decided to go elsewhere so be it. I think the ideal situation would be for Zane to come back for his senior season and Tomek play a year in the USHL but like you said I don't know if that is something Tomek would go for.
  23. If we are guessing percentages on the chance guys sign I'd go Zane 65% but that goes up if we win the national championship, Jordan at 75%, Nick at 25%, LaDue at 50%, Stecher at 25%, and Caggiula at 25%.
  24. I think Jordan is easily the most likely to sign and even though Zane is the most pro ready player I don't think it is a sure thing he signs. We will see on Zane it will be a hard decision for him just because he loves UND so much I think whether we win the National Championship or not will play a big role in his decision.
  25. Over The Boards ‏@OTBPuckWatch 12m12 minutes ago 99 F Grant Mismash (SSM Prep) commits to North Dakota. Our #5 uncommitted, massive get. Elite 6'0 forward with all the tools to succeed. Over The Boards ‏@OTBPuckWatch 10m10 minutes ago New #UND recruit Grant Mismash had 31-31-62 in 52 games. 3rd on team scoring at Nationals this week. Won Nat'l championship with the U14s. Over The Boards ‏@OTBPuckWatch 8m8 minutes ago That's a huge add for UND. Red Deer (WHL), who drafted Mismash last year, will host the Memorial Cup in 2016, before his draft year in 2017.
