I think the Twins will be improved and hang around .500 and probably end up around 80 wins. The offense should be pretty solid but CF is still a big question mark and the starting pitching should be better with the addition of Ervin Santana. The thing I'm mostly looking forward to though is seeing guys like Meyer, Sano, Buxton, and maybe Berrios make their debuts throughout the year

None of the players on Hermantown's team this year are committed yet but there are some good prospects. Bowen was the only Class A player in the tournament committed to a college. -

Looks like they will return 5 forwards and 2 defensemen who played pretty regularly but lose 11 seniors including 3 goalies and I'm not sure what they have coming up. As long as Loven and Tweten don't go to juniors next year though they will still have probably the top 2 forwards in the section and the top defenseman as well in Selk and I think 8A will be pretty open next year so they could at least get back down to the X. -
The unfortunate collision between his head and the players knee only happened because of the cross check by the other Miami player and that should have been called it was a pretty easy one that they missed.
-
Not much energy or sense of urgency for the Wild for most of tonight in a game that they really needed with the tough stretch coming up. Gotta have a win Tuesday against New Jersey because after that you got 5 pretty tough games with Anaheim, @St. Louis, @Nashville, Washington, and St. Louis.

Hopefully someone puts a beatdown on him before the end of this thing and I wouldn't mind another one for McLeod either.

I know with coaches they can't talk about specific recruits until they sign an NLI but I'm not sure on boosters. I do believe Lou is still working on the fundraising project for new facilities so he is still pretty closely related to the university. I think Clymer said something similar about the Aamodt kid from Hermantown. I can't remember exactly what he said but I thought it was something about giving Lucia his phone number and telling him to call this kid.

I checked them out and thought most made sense. I'm not a big fan of Rogers and St.Michael Albertville being in 8AA but there weren't all that many teams to pick from an put into 8AA I guess. I imagine there will still be some moving around with some teams dropping co-ops to be able to move back down to A.

I've seen plenty of both teams and I still would rather face Michigan State. I know Minnesota has been pretty average along with the rest of the B1G and yesterday they looked completely disinterested against Ohio State but they still have a bunch of talent that I think will put it together at some point and I don't want them to put it together against us.
-
If the option is them or someone like Minnesota I'll take Michigan State every time.

Lakeville North completes the perfect season with a 4-1 over Duluth East.
-
I thought it looked like the one guy gave him a cross check as he was going around the net and his head hit the other players knee. Either way there should have been a penalty called on that play.
-
In the AA Championship Lakeville North leads Duluth East 2-0 after 2. Does Duluth East have another comeback in them or will Lakeville North complete the undefeated season?

This Miami team has the rare combination of being a cheap dirty team but also embellishing everything. Really hope we are fully healthy going into next weekend after some of the antics from Miami tonight. Wasn't one of our better games but 3 of Miami's goals only happened because of lucky bounces and the 3rd goal was because they pushed Zane into the net which must have recently been made legal. Reffing was absolutely pathetic tonight some no excuse for not calling the cross check on the Schmaltz injury but they let Miami get away with the cross check all weekend and they sure took advantage of that. Hope that Western Michigan can put a physical beat down on Miami especially that clown Coleman. Only concern after this weekend is the powerplay the talent is there just gotta find the right combination and I'm sure lots of time will be spent on special teams work this week as that becomes even more important in postseason play.

When he plays to his potential he definitely has that ability and his linemate Grant Loven also looked very good in all 3 state tournament games I would be happy if we ended up with that whole line.
-
Good finish from Tweten but the behind the back pass from Loven was what made that play. I wouldn't mind it at all if that whole Loven-Bowen-Tweten line was playing college hockey close to home for another green team in a couple years.
-
The 4-2 regulation loss just wasn't enough.
-
EGF winning it in OT would fit right in with the way Hermantown has lost some of the other championship games.
-
Wow 2 goals 17 seconds apart to tie it for Hermantown
-
Big swing on that one Hermantown almost had a fluke goal off a weird bounce that started because off a bad turnover by EGF defenseman and then seconds later Monda got the breakaway and cashed in.
-
prep 45.com streams video but I believe they started charging $5 a day last year. http://msbnsports.net/ usually has free radio stream.

EGF 3 Hermantown 2 after 2
-
EGF scores! Grant Loven drives the net outta the corner and Bowen puts the lose puck away.
-
EGF with some good chances and zone time after Hermantown tied it Loven just missed finishing on a one timer backdoor pass from Bowen.
