  1. Great move on their part. Can't wait to hear O'Keefe discredited now as well...
  2. One small correction. Someone correct me if I am wrong, but UND is not, nor has it been for a while, on the hostile & abusive list. They were taken off that quite a few years ago. They are now considered a program under sanctions by the NCAA. Not a big difference, but a notable one.
  3. You think one president is going to hang himself out on a limb for a school that isn't even a full member rather than show solidarity with the other presidents?
  4. How about doing the right thing for the University of North Dakota?
  5. Agreed 100%. But he finally found a pawn in his game that gets him the attention that he wants for his crusade against Higher Ed. And destroying UND in his quest is of no concern to him.
  6. Most of us are. We are fighting for the University of North Dakota. It is blatantly obvious you aren't.
  7. Even better. Rob Port is now flat out calling the Big Sky out on whether or not they will drop UND. Says it is put up or shut up time. This could not be a worse move. I truly hope that Kelley and Faison are reassuring Fullerton and other Big Sky presidents that this is being taken care of. I feel very, very uncomfortable for non-stakeholders making claims and pushing for decisions that seriously impact my alma mater.
  8. Al Carlson did not take a stand for any moral reasons, it was for political capital and to take down the SBoHE.
  9. If you read his rebuttals to some of the comments, his agenda all along becomes blatantly clear. He signed on with Carlson to use this as a pawn in their quest to take down the SBoHE. It is no secret the disdain of many for it and they don't care if UND athletics are destroyed in their quest to take out the SBoHE.
  10. Fixed it for you. The playoff field was expanded from 16 to 20 in 2010.
  11. You mean despicable by wanting to stick to a settlement agreement that was signed and agreed to by both them and UND?
  12. I have mixed opinions. Home opener is always a large draw, regardless of opponent. I think what will hurt more is that it is a Thursday game, so the out-of-town crowd will be light.
  13. Saw Braden Hanson at the NLI signing day party. Kid is tall. Didn't get a chance to talk to him, but he appeared very friendly to those that did and seems happy to be here. Mussman again commented on how he's "coming in the right way". Hopefully he has a great impact on not only the coming year, but the underclassmen as well. Not generally a fan of one-year fixes like this, but I'm thinking this may be an exception and work out well for UND football and hopefully Hanson himself.
  14. Let's not pretend that if NDSU would have had their way (twice I believe), they would be in the Big Sky and it would be the greatest thing since sliced bread. They got turned down and the chip on their shoulder hasn't gone away. NDSU fans never miss an opportunity to take a shot or down play the conference that said no to them. As for the topic at hand, despite claims by each fanbase, it will be a few years to see who's class is the greatest of all time. Both schools got some kids they wanted, and missed on some. Time will only tell how the recruits fit into the schemes of each school.
  15. And you keep not answering the question on how the success of the petitions has any bearing on the Spirit Lake filings, which is exactly what you were insinuating in your original post.
  16. So no bearing then. The petitions have no correlation with Spirit Lake's filings, but yet you are insinuating in your original post that it does. If I'm wrong, feel free to correct me, but I don't see any connection at all other than handcuffing UND further in the matter. Spirit Lake should continue on with their filings, but I haven't been convinced yet how the petitions will do anything but make a bigger mess for UND in the athletic department and the university as a whole.
  17. Can you explain to me how the latter has anything to do with the former? What bearing will either of these petitions have on Spirit Lake's lawsuits?
  18. There is such thing as verbal assault though Dave. While you have a Freedom of Speech, it only goes so far. No one has a right to verbally assault someone and hide behind Freedom of Speech.
  19. It will be very interesting to see if all of these WR's come in or someone has changed their mind. Regardless, they are definitely working on giving Mollberg and Bartels some guys to develop chemistry with over the next 5 years. Maybe we will be seeing a transition into a little bit more of a wide open offense? Would be nice to have some 4-5 receiver sets to go along with what has traditionally been a very strong ground game.
  20. Single game tickets are $15-20/game depending on where you sit with the Montana game and Homecoming being $5 more/seat. Source: UNDsports.com
  21. You and your thousand of Sioux fans can keep fighting the good fight, you will get support where appropriate. But do a favor to those of us that support the University of North Dakota, regardless of nickname or logo, and quit trying to drag UND into the battle and in the process harm the University, the athletics department and the student-athletes
  22. Looks like no Champions Club donation is required for these either.
  23. I believe Midcontinent was busy showing University of Sioux Falls vs. Black Hills St....
  24. Actually more of a response than I figured you would give.
  25. Semantics. I assume most people are well aware that the students pay student fees that go towards athletics. Students pay extra for hockey tickets, those are not "free". They get tickets to all other events for no extra cost towards them, essentially "free". No extra money comes out of their wallets.
