I would have enjoyed watching a healthy Braden Hanson with UND's receiving corps play against NDSU's defense. NDSU's defense could have very well shut them down, but outside of Illinois State, did NDSU play a team with a pro-style offense passing threat? Maybe UNI? As far as I know, most schools in the MVFC are more run oriented. If they did, I just can't think of anyone off hand. I think it would have been a good match-up. As for the rest of the game, on paper it says it wouldn't have been much of a battle. But that is why the play the game.

Tied with a handful of FU posters on their message board?
-
UND didn't have the funds at the time and the total costs were unknown. NDSU didn't have the funds either but that was never an issue for Chapman. I'm sure Brescani appreciates begging for more money since his university outgrew its infrastructure with no plan in place to alleviate the issue.

You realize part of the reason it is being moved is due to scheduling conflicts at the REA right? Like the women having to play games at Purpur?
-
One interesting thing I've seen floated around is having NDSU move their game with USD to 9/14 or 9/21, opening up the 11/23 date. I know that UND has been set on an 11 game schedule, but I would think that was mainly because most options were on 9/21 and UND didn't want to play 12 games in a row. If USD was willing to move their game and if GT could stomach sending a home and home contract, Faison has to agree doesn't he? Purely hypothetical because I don't see either or both of the two things that need to happen actually happening, but food for thought.

That's what I'm thinking as well. It covers up one of the two garage doors on that end.
-
It looks like it is actually going on the south end. Can't quite tell what they are going to do with it. Link

I concur with this, especially with the injuries and other player issues they've had to battle. The only downside is they have been more inconsistent at home than I would have thought.
-
Interesting to see the FU faithful have as much if not more interest in a UND radio announcer than in something pertaining their own programs such as maybe 3 of their players quitting right before a playoff run, 2 players getting kicked off the team a few weeks ago for no named reason or another player quitting the team because his scholarship was getting reduced for disciplinary reasons. Not to mention the issues they had with Chris Berg this fall either.
-
Don't agree with the suspension but since that is the route they decided to go, glad they announced it rather than not. Otherwise, as you state, it looks like a "cover-up". Like your associate AD being suspended an no one knowing about it.

Must be a slow news day. Oh well, I guess there are worse things you could be on ESPN's front page for... Also, I don't recommend looking at the comments. Wow.
-
Can't believe it was that long ago. Fair enough I guess.

Football team got new banners when they moved into the Alerus. Not sure why the basketball team doesn't have matching banners. Does it have to do with the historical significance clause with the NCAA? Redone banners would not be allowed to have any of the Sioux head logos on them? I believe things like those were exempt from the settlement.

Was it the fact that he said it or was it the fact that he said it to Jones right after the game? I think there is a big difference between the two. Does anyone have the actual audio of what happened? I would guess most people haven't heard it (myself included) and are making judgements based on what was in the Herald and on here.
-
Happy that our announcer isn't too much of a homer to call it like he sees it. Not happy that he got suspended. But while I don't agree with it, I can see why UND did what they did. Probably a better way to go about saying what he said and I'm sure next time will take that into account.

Since this is already a train-wreck, might as well just add this here: Johnny Football must not be a "real" student at Texas A&M.
-
So in summary, UND has no history of backing out of contracts they sign and you are still mad 10+ years later because UND did what was best for them by not signing a contract that would have benefited NDSU and at the time, hurt UND's playoff chances.
-
You're complaining they burned you, yet all they did was exercise an option in an mutually agreed upon contract. GT agreed to the buyout clause and there was no execution date on it.
-
So is contract law taught in the same class as PR and ethics at FU? MSU honored the contract.
-
Again, when has UND cancelled a game? Not signing a contract is not the same as executing a buyout (agreed to by both sides) or cancelling a game. Even you should be able to comprehend that.
-
After seeing some of the stuff tweeted to MSU's athletic account and comments left on their facebook page, I don't think the arrogance is just at the top.
-
Maybe I missed, it but who was the second team that bought them out? Or is he pulling SDSU into this about the Montana game? As stated above, GT signed the contracts and they were fulfilled within the parameters of what was in them. Yes, it would have been a good game, but MSU's AD obviously saw a benefit in doing what he did.
-
If Detroit leaves the Horizon doesn't that opens up the spot Oakland wants there?
-
How can you say MSU didn't sign the contract honestly? GT agreed to a contract with a buyout and no deadline on that buyout. I've stated I wanted to see the game but to keep saying that MSU did something illegal or unethical when abiding by a contract that both they and NDSU signed is sour grapes. UND fans were upset when they got bought out, but I didn't see anyone calling out whole conferences or Commissioner's.
-
Pretty sure the Montana game is the front-end of a home and home. If Montana wants NDSU to travel there, I don't see them buying it out. But I concur about GT's comments. Makes you think they don't teach PR down at FU.
