I believe the fan guide that went out with tickets had the date listed as Sept 14th but I don't have it in front of me and can't seem to find anywhere to confirm it.
-
Might have interpreted what I heard incorrectly, but I would keep my eyes/ears open tomorrow.
-
Also of note from the release: Not the best option, but if the past is any indicator, quality should be fairly good.
-
Tournament home page with links to live game stats if anyone is interested.

Attendance at the Thursday opener last year was 8,484. I woul expect to see a small bump, but probably not much more than 9,000 at most due to it being a Thursday game and the opponent.

One of the more important points for those that don't read the whole article:
-
He left out the part where they had no choice because Chapman's plan of increasing their enrollment, having the students come and then assuming they would get the needed buildings/facilities/etc built failed (the anti-Field of Dreams?). Now they say their infrastructure is stressed and wonder why?
-
The color selction defaults to red. Wonder if EWU needs to buy it in bulk to touch-up their field so they make ordering easier for them?

You said NDSU scheduled like ASU and part of that was FBS games. ASU and NDSU's FBS games are not even close. I actually agree with some of what you said, but my point was that NDSU has not been in any hurry to sign home and home contracts and travel as whole, less than ASU. The first half of the GSU games were played in 2006 and the first half of the Sam Houston one were played in 2007. Until the Montana one was signed, NDSU was obviously not looking to travel to an FCS opponent. Not sure if the MSU game is a home and home (I would guess so), (per Hammersmith, it technically is not) but the point I was making is that NDSU will go 6 seasons between traveling to an FCS non-conference opponent.
-
I think an ASU fan would call you out on saying your scheduling is similar. Virginia Tech and Florida were their FBS games the last two years and LSU a few years before that along with traveling to Michigan in 2014. They play a different caliber of FBS teams than NDSU and its not even close. I also believe that NDSU is going six year between FCS non-conference road games (2009 @ Sam Houston and 2015 @ Montanta). ASU has non-conference road games scheduled for both 2013 and 2014. They appear to be much more willing to sign home-and-homes than NDSU.

Would this apply since the proposed field logo was the Alerus Center vs. Alerus Financial? The two are very similar, for obvious reasons.
-
Not an apples-to-apples comparison and you are well aware of it. Both UND and NDSU have had troubles filling their non-conference games in the past and it is only going to get tougher and more expensive. Not saying it needs to be every year, just like Gene Taylor has asked for. He has said that he would only entertain a one-time two game contract to start with and the first game needs to be in Fargo. Everything reported out of both Grand Forks and Fargo is Faison has agreed and put it on the table. Why won't Taylor sign the exact contract he asked for?

I like them. +++ Curious if there is a patch or something on the shoulders. Also assume there would be some sort of Big Sky patch somewhere as well once they use them for games.

The how in the world does a USHL junior hockey team outdraw a supposed mid-major D1 program?
-
Per Schlossman's post last year, here were the prices of tickets before Ticketmaster's absurd fees (I believe they were about $10/ticket). So price per ticket was right around $60 or so for Sioux/Gophers and sold out almost immediately.

Quick practice recap from Tom Miller. Biggest thing:
-
Confirmed by both Tom Miller and SFI. Again, leaves serious questions for back-ups this year and probably more concerning is the lack of experience heading into next year. I also agree with SFI that another JUCO or transfer next year isn't out of the question. Regardless, best of luck to Bradley, unfortunate things didn't work out for him at UND and hopefully he can find what he's looking for.
-
I was thinking it was something along these lines. If it is case (again still speculating), it leaves some depth concerns this year and leaves very little experience next year, unless I'm missing someone. Hendrickson would be the back-up this year with 3 players who are, I would assume, being red-shirted behind him. That also means zero returning experience next year. That is why this concerns me.
-
I vote unrelated (per SFI retweet)

I'm really surprised that Kolpack hasn't chimed in on this yet. He seems to have a pulse on NDSU recruiting, plus he always has a comment or two on things related to UND. I would imagine he would have been all over this if it were UND offering scholarships to NDSU's walk-on's a couple weeks before camp started. Would love to hear the spin explanation on this one.
-
By what measure? This one? Or this one?
-
Yes Everyone got a little of something. UND got $10M to offer research and degree programs in western ND. As for capital projects, the $38.5M (cheapest) option was chosen for the School of Medicine and UND also received $4.3M for law school renovations. Regarding the med school, it looks like a new 42,300 square foot building will be put up in what is now the parking lot on the corner of University/6th.

Don't like that sound of that.
