  1. UNI has had bigger attendance in some games but UND has been more full per game than UNI. Hopefully, Chaves sees the importance of bidding big. Lots of people willing to buy tickets for students which can create a bigger sellout and more ticket revenue for UND/NCAA.
  2. If T-Mobile had been 65% full, the gophers would have felt like it was a home game...
  3. Here's a nice Notre Dame hat for you: https://www.amazon.com/University-Dakota-Fighting-Structured-Baseball/dp/B07CK7GHJG/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1540493806&sr=8-8&keywords=university+of+north+dakota+hat
  4. Speaking of former players, I went to the Red Bull Salzburg vs Dornbirn Bulldogs game in Austria a couple weeks ago. Initially, we were excited to see Vandy and Duncan for Salzburg and Michael Parks for Dornbirn. However, during non-starters they said Brendan O'Donnell's name too. So it was 2 v 2 for former UND players. In what turned into a 6-3 win for Salzburg, O"Donnell, Parks and Duncan all scored. Every UND player had at least one point with most getting at least 2. We were wearing our UND gear and all 4 players gave us an applause after the game. Outside, on the way back to our hotel, we ran into Duncan and Vandy and they were both great. Chatted with them for a few minutes and they offered us tickets to future games in Salzburg. Looking forward to hopefully seeing a few games. For those who have been to a football game at Idaho State, this stadium reminded me of that with a little bit of a touch of the Orono Maine hockey arena.
  5. Regardless of what you may think about Jayson as an all-sports SID, he was a great guy. I met him when we were both attending UND and have remained in contact since. I've had the fortune of working with him outside of UND and he was great. I know UND, the NCHC and the NCAA hockey community are going to miss him. He will be missed and I'm sure this is a nervous time for him. It's great Amanda has this opportunity and it's tough to move your family but I'm sure he will do well in any future jobs. I'm very familiar with the difficulty of leaving a position and company you know so well for the unknown and I applaud both of them for taking this jump. I'm hoping he lands in a less stressful, less time consuming athletics job (are there any?) and is able to continue to do what he does best. But you can never get back that time with your children and family and that's what is most important. Congrats Haj.
  6. I disagree. If you have good coverage (UND hasn't) then kicking it off within the 5 makes sense. If I was a returner, I would be very confident in my abilities and always want to run it from within the 5. These are kids, they're going to be a bit selfish and want to try and be a hero. Edit: UND clearly doesn't have the coverage that is necessary to stop teams before the 25, so if possible they should be looking for a touchback every time.
  7. But especially up 34-0 in the fourth quarter. Gotta get that up to at least 95-0 if they want to make the playoffs.
  8. Why? Shouldn't all fans be expected to step it up this weekend? I don't get the over the top expectations of students compared to other adults attending the game. At the end of the day, aren't all fans responsible for creating a great atmosphere?
  9. Pretty incredible how many times one poster needs to be reminded of this...
  10. You mean like when UND was in the Big Sky, finished 7-4 and had no support from the Big Sky rep who was from ISU?
  11. Im more concerned the real issue with the team is the game day thread starters? Perhaps we need to switch it up after a loss. Clearly, @Oxbow6 is to blame for Friday. @iluvdebbies may deserve to start next Friday's but should be on a short leash.
  12. Shouldn't they be FBS by now with all the upgrades they did in the 2000s? Or were they targeting the new tv/bowl contract in 2025?
  13. So please tell me how going for it on 4th down twice within field goal territory was not tying to make it 60-14? That seems like the definition of trying to rack up points. But somehow, Bubba will get the blame despite doing exactly what you're saying he should have done.
  14. Because he didn't run up the score?
  15. As we have seen, losing or tying Bemidji will certainly cause many people to doubt if this team has what it takes to win big in april.
  16. Even very slow moving trains can cause some damage
  17. And a misleading stat without any context. What hurts a team more, giving up running yards of giving up lots of passing yards? The D limited the offense to 116 passing yards and only 17 in the first half. Edit: where did the 6.8 ypc come from? Not including qb carries, UNC had 113 on 20 carries for a 5.65 avg.
  18. I'd imagine it will be top 3 of fcs independents this year
  19. If it was someone who had any integrity fighting him squarely, I might agree with you.
  20. Of course goon agrees with this opinion. Don't give up 7 goals if you don't want someone to showboat. Isn't it great that a guy who licks other players is defending "the code?"
  21. Ah how I miss trying to down a 32oz beer during each intermission.
  22. Nice addition. I assume it's a Dak table so it coincides with the video boards. Open message to UND staff: don't use any light backgrounds on graphics and make sure the brightness is turned down to about 35%. Otherwise it will be super blown out on the tv feeds.

    On to Bye

UND with a convincing win today. Hopefully, they can get some guys healthy during the bye week. Since the team is coming off a win, Over/Under on negative posts about Bubba by UND-FB-"fan" is set at 23 between now and start of griz game. Place your bets.
  24. The play call was perfect. The reciever was wide open. The throw was crap. We just saw a 3rd and 1 that wasn't converted on a run.
