And not really "split" as much as move down and join EVERYONE in FCS. That doesn't make any sense and for anyone to suggest that means they know little to nothing about FCS.

Once again, you talk up a source to fit your narrative. In this case, it is a student reporter writing an opinion piece. And in this one, which again is the opinion of a person a few years out of high school, he says the best option right now is to go to the RMAC. However, why can't the Big Sky add one more team? It's not like 11/13 are magic numbers for scheduling. I could see a scenario where CWU goes to the big sky and if the other two move up, they would be part of a WAC FCS conference. But, I don't have the opinion of a 22 year old student to support it, so it's clearly not going to happen.

Very rarely in collegiate sports. There are too many bridges in athletics that you don't want to burn them. Just a few years ago, the WAC was on life support. Now it has some schools without major ties. It's trying to strengthen those ties with schools willing to move up to FCS. Yet, despite that experience in corporate forecasting, you've missed completely and continually with your college sports predictions. You remind me of an orange haired fellow* who thinks his business experience helps him in other venues, yet is the laughing stock of America and the world. When confronted with continuously being wrong, you cry fake news and throw out another crazy idea. Prime example, you declared UND wouldn't go to the Summit, but now they're playing a full Summit schedule. However, you're now claiming it's part of a plot to lure the 4 BS members to the Summit. Those schools you listed are ALSO the most viable move ups if no FBS moves happen. We are talking about a completely new FCS FB conference in the West. When in the last time that happened? *not meant as a political post but the best, and most widely known, comparison I could think of this morning.

Why is it happening? Read the dang reports. In 3 of the 4 cases he mentioned, the schools have all been contacted by the WAC about possibly joining including a WAC FCS football conference. It's in the schools' reports and get SV just can't believe that really is all there is to it.

None of that answered anything I posted. Please tell me, who knows about all of these moves that are about to happen? Presidents would be the first answer obviously but in my experience, most conference moves at least have significant rumours or leaks before any announcement. The second answer is clearly you, somehow. There are so many universities involved in your predictions, someone outside of the presidents must know. Who are they?

Attempting to clarify: The Montanas, Weber and Idaho know they're leaving the BS for the Summit, but need to pretend to be upset that Dixie St. may join the BS because of SUU. The BS doesn't know this is happening because otherwise they would be inviting teams now. However, the WAC knows it is happening and is just pretending to start an FCS conference to get more teams for the BS. The WAC is actually restarting its FBS portion and inviting 7 schools to move up to join NMSU. Yet no consulting reports have been completed by any of those schools. Dixie St, Tarleton and a few others are being scammed by the WAC when they were invited to apply as the WAC knows they'll never take them. But the Big Sky is clueless to the fact they'll lose 5 big schools, plus 2 FB affiliates. However, the WAC is helping the BS because then those schools won't have to do new reports when it comes time to join the BS vs the WAC? Lots of schools and people in the know and not one leak to the press or the Big Sky?

So what other teams are going to join Sam Houston and Lamar in this FCS WAC?

According to the feasibility study, the WAC is looking into starting an FCS football conference.

I'll just standby for any sort of proof of all these predicted moves.

Ket to Wanzek continues to be huge and they've made some great connections through the second and the start of the third.

The WAC invited them to do a study as it says in the article.

You have to go all the way back to 3 years ago to see what happens when the top seeded teams lose in the second round in the same part of the bracket. The team that beats the top rated team then gets to host. Not that difficult to figure out with any type of interneting.

If a 1-8 team loses, that means it goes to the third round of the playoffs in which the highest seeded team then hosts. There are no bids after the first round.

UNI has had bigger attendance in some games but UND has been more full per game than UNI. Hopefully, Chaves sees the importance of bidding big. Lots of people willing to buy tickets for students which can create a bigger sellout and more ticket revenue for UND/NCAA.

Speaking of former players, I went to the Red Bull Salzburg vs Dornbirn Bulldogs game in Austria a couple weeks ago. Initially, we were excited to see Vandy and Duncan for Salzburg and Michael Parks for Dornbirn. However, during non-starters they said Brendan O'Donnell's name too. So it was 2 v 2 for former UND players. In what turned into a 6-3 win for Salzburg, O"Donnell, Parks and Duncan all scored. Every UND player had at least one point with most getting at least 2. We were wearing our UND gear and all 4 players gave us an applause after the game. Outside, on the way back to our hotel, we ran into Duncan and Vandy and they were both great. Chatted with them for a few minutes and they offered us tickets to future games in Salzburg. Looking forward to hopefully seeing a few games. For those who have been to a football game at Idaho State, this stadium reminded me of that with a little bit of a touch of the Orono Maine hockey arena.

Regardless of what you may think about Jayson as an all-sports SID, he was a great guy. I met him when we were both attending UND and have remained in contact since. I've had the fortune of working with him outside of UND and he was great. I know UND, the NCHC and the NCAA hockey community are going to miss him. He will be missed and I'm sure this is a nervous time for him. It's great Amanda has this opportunity and it's tough to move your family but I'm sure he will do well in any future jobs. I'm very familiar with the difficulty of leaving a position and company you know so well for the unknown and I applaud both of them for taking this jump. I'm hoping he lands in a less stressful, less time consuming athletics job (are there any?) and is able to continue to do what he does best. But you can never get back that time with your children and family and that's what is most important. Congrats Haj.
