We as fans are so lucky to have Alex Heinert announcing UND games for Midco. I know and like Brian Shawn for KVLY/NDSU as a person but he is so boring as an announcer.

I've worked some Air Force volleyball games this year and the difference between UND and every team I've seen is ridiculous. They're so sharp yet will keep getting better. So many games early on is great for getting experience and rythym.

Essentially you're paying for what will hopefully be wins, a tournament title and more fan interest if you do win.

From a newness of building standpoint, the Alerus would have been an upgrade. Otherwise it would have caused major issues on dozens of fronts.

What? You incorrectly assume UND would have made no upgrades/changes to the old Ralph or even built a similar size arena elsewhere on campus. The school was coming off two championships and yet without Ralphs gift you think UND hockey would just be a poor little stepchild? UND had shown a consistent history of investing in hockey improvements and funding, why would that suddenly stop?

I like that they went with a Kelly green instead of the darker green the past few years (decades?)

Admittedly I can't make it to UND home games, but what about a two strikes rule? You get one game to miss as things happen, etc. But if you, or someone taking up your spot isn't there within 2 hours a second time you lose your tailgating pass? Have a waitlist and I'm sure some other people would gladly jump on half-way through the year.

Close parking in the tailgate lot within 45 minutes of kickoff? Would that keep people from buying tailgate passes just to use as parking passes?

My apologies, you are correct. It seems UND football is using the same jerseys as before since they were ordered prior to the change.

I'm just waiting for Sicatoka to give an unnecessary scolding disguised as a pep-talk post about soccer needing to perform like he did for softball. For some reason I didn't see one about football, basketball or men's hockey though.

I agree. As one person in the hockey forum tried to create fake outrage over the font being "different," you'll see that it is the same font once players have the jersey on and it is properly stretched.

It is the same font but because football jerseys stretch when they're put on it looks cartoonish when its on a hanger.

Yes because that was built into their contract since Midco does not have a department-wide contract with NDSU. At the time, it was more for Midco's benefit so NDSU couldn't go do a show with KVLY.

People ridiculously overestimate the number of people who watch non-live events. The UND hockey show does not have a high following or good ratings, otherwise it would still be a show.
