No, I imagine there will just be a few posters that have been waiting for a loss to say “I told you so.” Their post count has been down the last 4 weeks. I’ve yet to read one post in this board by anyone saying we should be undefeated or are going to run the table. No one has said our QB is an all conference player yet some try to act like it because they need something to complain about since they spent an offseason doing it.

Maybe the backups are just that….

His team was 3-0 and ranked top 15 in the country. They are also two years removed from a New Year’s Day bowl. I think he is aware….

And players transferring out. That’s a fair comment. I just think everything we saw last year that people would say Bubba is calling the offense……the new OC has shown not to be true. And last year vs Sac St…..new OC would have run the damn ball all day.

I would guess NDSU has similar complaints about their defense. They haven’t been very good this season. Teams haven’t had to throw against them. Coaches just need to worry about us. Lots of inexperience out there and I like the different types of teams we have seen and found a way to beat this far. Schedule gets much more difficult from here so wins will be hard to come by and we are going to struggle at times.

Won the game the way this team is going to have to win early in the year. Not pretty but it’s a win. Offense got to see today how teams will play them from here on out. The upgrade at O-cord is noticeable.

I think they evaluated that during spring ball and fall camp. As someone said earlier they may just be working to get Romfo reps that will benefit him as the season moves along. or maybe your thought is why?

Be interesting to follow how USDs season plays out. I think they get to 8 FCS wins but that weird situation yesterday could have some odd impact at playoff time. Right now their one win is vs a terrible D2 team.

Agreed. My thought at the time was playing for the sure FG….which we have all learned is anything but a sure thing.

And we still win if we commit to the run like Saturday. QB threw for a similar stat line.

I watched a playoff game last year where all he had to do was hand it off and his stats weren’t much better than yesterday’s QB and we lost.

We need to get to a point I’m not so nervous about Idaho St. Putting my confidence in Oregon St rushing for 300+ against them and NAIA Western Oregon going for over 100.

Actually feel the opposite and if we play them 10 times we win more than we lose. Watching their first half TDs it was a missed tackle a really poor fit by a LB. Not a ton of adjustments in the 2nd half, we just made plays when we got home. They have zero answer for our run game. Next adjustment is Romfo has to pull one on the zone read and than we need to get him outside the pocket. Play to his strength. Eventually he is going to have to throw, get him in position to have some success as throwing from the pocket clearly not a strength.

Great adjustments by the coaching staff. Just a tale of two halves with the staff getting the team settled in at half.
