I’m not saying it’s right but at a minimum needs to happen. I won’t believe we pay the buyout until I see it.
-
He’s the D coordinator so he certainly plays a pretty important part of it and at a minimum that side of the ball needs a change
-
This is my thought as well. Connection with Danny certainly there. If he is comfortable with the current scheme and OC he certainly has a chance to play earlier here. Have to imagine every position is wide open starting in 4 days. I guess I don’t see the mass exodus others do but could be wrong.
-
But the talent levels of schools they are competing against isn’t as high as FBS either. I don’t see the mass exodus in the transfer portal others do just because where are they going to transfer?? D2

I would think after this year Kamanski has as good of an opportunity to start at QB here as he would anywhere else. What we have right now is not the answer.
-
Defensively something has to change. The offense was fine this year…..potentially better with a new look but less overall experience/talent from last year. The buyout number is high but the AD needs to figure out what now having to rebuild momentum in the program costs. What do season ticket renewals look like next year, business sponsors, etc. I don’t know the answer to a tough question
-
The offense did do enough but for me at some point you have to see what you have in younger guys that have more tools. I give kudos to the offensive staff. This offense was much better than I expected after getting gutted this off season. I really think our offensive staff is better. I can’t help to imagine though a QB with “consistent” accuracy with our running game. Both would have been so much better. At times you have to be a threat to convert a 3rd and 8 or 9. We are not sure if we have that in the bench or not. Defensively, no matter what our HC looks like next year we need a new staff. How many years are we going to deal with what we watched today. And the players are equally responsible. No fire or heart on that side of the ball. Some decent young talent but it needs to be coached. So much for 24 hrs. It was a long drive back after that game.
-
I’ve typed, erased, retyped and just decided probably just give it the 24 hour. Disappointing back half of this season.
-
That’s all great but has nothing to do with just playing with any effort.
-
Not sure why he is still getting time after the first games of the season
-
Go back and watch all the defensive players jogging on USDs first TD in the 2nd half on the long pass. Tell me again how hard we are playing. than watch USD’s defense
-
The difference in effort and attitude of the team in white vs the team in green is so noticeable. And it’s from guys who should be leaders.
-
Last weekend was one of the most uninspired teams I have seen take the field at the Alerus. I don’t see it.
-
First time I got a chance to watch Walters tonight. Kid is a really, really good football player. Would have made a nice DE in the 3-4.
-
New OC doesn’t need them here either with possibly less talent than Danny had here, for sure less experience.
-
Just got back from overseas work trip. Didn’t watch the game but also didn’t want to ignore your message. I’ll watch it at some point this week. No excuses from me I guess. Not sure why I need one as I wasn’t playing. I’ll continue to stand up for the current players. I do think the accountability goes all the way around to coaches and players. I don’t think plays are called differently on the road (execution) but one can’t ignore the one constant. Last two weeks have been really frustrating.

Those other schools sitting back and allowing NDSU have their cake and eat it to by earning more money in the MWC while getting the benefit of the Summit footprint would hurt everyone of their athletic depts. If anything has become apparent in the recent college athletics landscape is you look out for yourself first. If NDSU wants to go, that is great they have certainly earned the opportunity. As a regional competitor to them I certainly wouldn’t make it easy as any success impacts the entire campus.
-
And to remain competitive for money to support those other sports, the Dakota schools should make sure anyone one of them wanting to do it on their own is truly on their own. There is additional money to be had in the MWC and having to play outside of the Summit would mean NDSU has to spend it on sports other than football.
-
If the other Dakota schools allow them to move up for football only and still get the benefit of a fairly tight footprint Summit league for all other sports than those schools get what they deserve. Why make it easy for them when it’s known they have budget issues that aren’t going away.
-
The MVFC/Summit schools should be pushing this.
-
Likely no. Need to go 3-1 down the stretch.
-
I was wrong. Looked run all the way with the OL release. That and the 3rd and 2 would have been nice to execute.
-
He looked left and saw an unblocked LB and has no where to run. It’s a designed run left with the left tackle running by the LB and the right FB and right guard blocking the same player and leaving the LB untouched in the backfield. You can see where it is supposed to hit and where it would have been if anyone gets a piece of the Youngstown LB.
-
It’s a designed run and if 51 blocks the LB scraping Q walks in. His throw was him panicking and trying to make something out of nothing.
-
Except it didn’t work on a 3rd and 2 that would have nearly iced the game earlier.
