I’m going to assume you have been following the women’s basketball threads (or lack of) all year. I think everyone is aware there are issues. I also think most are realistic enough to know they were there before this year and a coach was not going to fix them in one year with the roster turnover the program had.
-
I don’t even understand where some of these players end up?
-
Can also confirm UND offer
-
She doesn’t fit what NDSU needs right now unless they have roster movement. SDSU, not sure. The program can’t complain about not competing but throw their hands in the air when good, local players become available. in regards to Mark, he’s well connected and knows the game that is recruiting right now. Can’t blame him for wanting the best for his kids who have the talent to make some money. Also, what’s another parent posting on a message board??
-
Probably a long shot but she’s a player you out the chips on the table for. With what I have seen from our guard play she’s a day one starter. limiting turnovers and finding a scorer on this team is a step in the right direction.

Chartering flights for other Summit league schools is not accurate. I fly in and out of Fargo regularly in during basketball season it is not uncommon to be in flights with Summit league teams. Yes, including UNDs.
-
I still think an internal comparison of spending/sport is more important and valuable. Basketball is still at the top of untapped potential for school exposure and opportunity for return and should be funded appropriately.

Be great if they could keep a young core and go find a few pieces. Got some valuable experience this year, feels like they found an identity…..finally.
-
Troy, Sac St and possibly Eastern Michigan are my guesses.

And no one is paying for a team from Fargo, ND or Laramie, WY in that same scenario. What will serve the G6 schools well will be tighter conference footprints and minimized travel costs. Some of these G6 schools can’t afford the level they are at now, they will be hurting even more minimum 6 years from now. That is where the FCS schools that are ready will see an opportunity IMO.
-
The NDSU AD stated last week they have one foot out the door. That’s good for the conference how exactly?
-
You come here to lecture about the hate and mental gymnastics is comical considering your thread you started on your site. https://www.bisonville.com/forum/showthread.php?44343-UND-BYE-bye-Bitches

Says the guy coming here to post non stop

Who???? Kidding. This year obviously she did. College athletics change year to year so only time will tell for her entire career.
-
Make the announcement and run to opposing message boards…….makes sense
-
Three things can happen at the same time. 1) UND should work on improving athletics 2) the Summit should be proactive and protect itself by adding a non D1 member now to start the 3 year clock while it has 7+ members instead of wait until it has 6 3) All presidents can bury NDSU. They have just told you they are leaving anyway. Call their bluff i guess I don’t understand your point
-
The presidents of the Summit league should call his bluff. Zero chance the MWC schools want anything to do with sending their Olympic sports to Fargo for games. THE average salary for a men’s head basketball coach in the MWC is north of a million. Let him try to figure that out while finding money for football.

One could only wish
-
I know your trying to stir the pot but why would any of the regional schools travel to Fargo when P4 schools pay them much more and are better exposure? I know you won’t answer and just run back to B’ville to report back
-
lol. You mean using the funding model your prior president approved of?

Kick out Summit League members if they go 1a in football

College athletics has become more cut throat than ever. NDSU has proven they will never do us any favors and the regional summit league members shouldn’t do them any favors if they can pull it off. -
An FBS conference of that would be in our best interest. Honestly in time it would be better than the MWC and the Dakota schools could freeze NDSU out. Longshot it would ever happen but we have to be looking for a way. The perception thing can not catch up to us again after the strides we have been making the last few years.
-
So invite Augastana, Mankato or any other D2 with Visio the vision now. Don’t see that move of St Thomas happening before than. Get that 3 year clock started. I believe the NCAA has a 2 year temporary grace period when major shifts happen.
-
Or the conference will just have everyone play each other. Losing NDSU off the schedule certainly would hurt but I’d probably worry more about your own scheduling issues
