Not even a new field, just some small upgrades:

A small concrete building with a bathrooms, some GameDay lockers, with a cool lighted sign on the side "home of UND Soccer" other outside, small bleacher for fans, and maybe some of those curved wind protections "dugouts."

Athletic trainer at the games.

Small cheap stuff.

Go find a donor, non revenue sports should be thankful for what they have. Doctor is a head scratcher but I’m sure the rest will come with time. University’s mission is academics, not athletics. There is not unlimited funds just being withheld from soccer on purpose.

So, the complaints are:

1)  Need bathroom facilities at Bronson Field

2) Need a trainer available during games.

3) Cut the grass shorter.

Recent Improvements:

1)  Resodding Bronson Field

2) Laying infrastructure (fiber) for game broadcasts.

3) Fencing around Bronson Field

Here is a link to the soccer facilities:  https://fightinghawks.com/watch/?Archive=7672&type=Archive

It seems like a nice setup.  Cut the grass, schedule a trainer for games and work on potential small set of stands with bathrooms.

How much do ports potties cost? The nice ones?

Asking for bathrooms and a person to treat their in game injuries is just too much to ask!

The university hasn't had to pay for any athletic facility:

Hockey

Tennis

Football

Golf

Basketball

Swimming

Softball

Volleyball

Where does all their money go they are saving?!

If soccer moved into the women's hockey space after the program was cut it would make sense to think they are the title 9 equivalent of the men's hockey team. I don't think it would take a lawyer to realize that the field doesn't exactly scream equity if you compare it to where hockey plays. That could be a major problem for UND.

Soccer players don’t like playing on artificial turf.

In this geographical area with the variable weather your statement is categorically false.

Regardless of title 9, all of sioux sports fans should help the girls and other athletic programs reach high levels.

Including supporting the glaring obvious deficiencies.

UND is more than in compliance with Title IX.

NDSU on the other hand….not sure why their women are so scared to file complaints

So use a simply analogy you both can understand on grass fields....

Bronson Field = late 70s porn star

Premier League/World Cup = Top 1% OnlyFans

I think Bronson may have actually been upgraded to a fifa level pitch. Have they kept it to that level? Doesn’t sound like it. But I know they invested in it so it’s very disappointing if they wasted that.

So they got a new field and the women’s hockey locker room

And they want bathrooms on the field? How many girls go to bathroom during game?

Or put another way....

They got grass and a locker room.

Now they want bathrooms too?! And someone to help their injuries?! How selfish of UND athletes!

What women’s team at NDSU has the same level facilities as football???
Explain to me in title 9 law that men’s and women’s sports need to have equal facilities?

UND soccer wanted grass, answer that !

Wanting grass vs what players prefer to play on are two different things. It's not complicated. UND doesn't have the resources to properly maintain a quality grass field. The least desired field to play on in the Summit is at UND. Least desired in the NSIC is MSUM. Both....grass.

That doesn't even make sense.

They want running water for bathrooms like from 70+ years ago.

Ask yourself why your defending, a university you support, not even giving their student athletes the bare minimum?

Absolutely. Grass can be best but takes a lot of constant care....aka golf putting greens.

UNDs turf look anything like a putting green?

They ain't even mowing the grass on their turf now for f's sake!

I am fairly certain the soccer program has a FT Athletic Trainer that is with them at all home and away games as well as practices. Their request is a team physician who I believe only Football and Hockey have on site for all games home and away.

Not sure how the Sanford deal plays into this. Altru used to provide a physician for all home events.
