Would it be better if I said seven pm Pacific time? ;)

They played Davis pretty close before falling apart in the second half.  Always an adventure on the road when playing against Big Sky teams and their officials.

I'll say UND 38.  Portland State 24.

Agreed. Unique type of travel/stadium setup, unknowns with their new staff and personnel, etc. UND will face a bit more adversity this week. I think they’ll respond to it the right way, though. The veteran guys will lead the way.

Podcast said they only have one returning D player - however history has shown on the road with Big Sky officiating is at least a touchdown advantage for the home team.

I agree we had a chance to take the game out of refs hands in the first half and failed to do so.

They lost to the 6th ranked FCS team in the country by 7 points at home.  They aren't great, but they aren't Valpo.

This game can easily be a trap game before Nebraska. Even great coaches have a team play flat week before a rivalry or before a big game. Coaches can yell, put up signs, give digital reminders etc….It’s up to the players, especially the seniors/junior leaders to keep the killer mentality with the team. Late start and Big Sky refs should not affect the outcome of this game, if this team is as good as the talent we have seen with our starters and imediate backups that rotate in we will win.

Need to score early and keep the pressure on, an average team can have a good day, If a great team plays average it will be close, if great team does not do what is expected (no turnovers, no solid special teams, not limiting opposing explosive plays and not creating there own…..outcome favors lesser team. I am banking that even with an above average play by Portland State our seniors and junior leaders will lead the way.

I hope I’m too pessimistic, I think we will win by about 2 scores.

I think this is very Realistic.  I see UND is favored by 27.5.  Way too many points.  Think 15 is about right.

Between the late start, looking forward to Next week, first road game, and some of the issues in the secondary. I'll take a 2 TD win.

A win is a win. I don't need to see all the backups playing in the one and I think it is in the teams best interest to play a full game anyway.

That being said, I would like to see us control the game, get up early, maybe pull away in the 3rd or 4th and just wear them down.

AND STAY HEALTHY!!

Secondary is my concern
