brianvf Posted Sunday at 02:26 AM Posted Sunday at 02:26 AM I can't believe it took them 2 weeks to post about it. That's crazy to me. I understand giving it a bit of time until the family is notified. But once it was announced that he was the player involved and then all the articles/media around it. It still took them this long to post a response like this? https://x.com/SunDevilHockey/status/2096362178102317299 2 1 Quote

cberkas Posted Monday at 08:45 PM Author Posted Monday at 08:45 PM A photo was released by the Green Berets attorney it shows the coaches not in the stands of the track but at track level and water/Gatorade bottles (not many shown). There should have been a big water jug to refill bottles or to drink from cups. It's very damning how the ASU heat policy wasn't remotely followed. https://youtu.be/D8RYsE4icE4?si=lcyN5HDjwX_aqprn Quote

Godsmack Posted Tuesday at 04:03 PM Posted Tuesday at 04:03 PM Just read an article in the Colorado Springs Gazette that CC’s going to have a corporate sponsor jersey patch this season. Toyota is going to be the college’s inaugural jersey patch sponsor for men’s ice hockey and women’s soccer (the two lone D-I programs at CC). 1 Quote

Would be interesting to know how much Toyota is paying CC for a season's worth of sponsorship. Smart way to generate revenue for NIL or for whatever pressing financial needs the hockey program has, from a multi-billion dollar corporation, no less. Quote

Yah the article didn’t dive that deep nor do I believe that the school and athletic department would disclose actual financial numbers. In that same article, Kris Mayotte acknowledged some coaching mistakes he says he made last season. He said he designed his team’s offense around the premise of the bigger stronger power forward types like Gleb Veremyev and Noah Laba. Problem was, most of his forwards weren’t that type of player profile and he says he needs to emphasize better net front presence this year. They ranked at or near the bottom for expected goals. 1 Quote

brianvf Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Hmm. Wonder if this will amount to anything. All those people are gone from the Univ by now I would guess. https://www.freep.com/story/sports/university-michigan/wolverines/2026/09/09/university-of-michigan-hockey-facing-lawsuit-alleging-sexualized-torture/91681036007/ Quote Sexualized abuse akin to "torture" became the norm in ritualistic hazing among members of the University of Michigan's men's hockey team from 1984 to 2001, according to a new federal lawsuit filed by 16 former team members. None of the 16 plaintiffs is identified in the suit. Quote

thUNDer Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Arizona State head hockey coach Greg Powers appears to have taken a drastic step amid the investigation into the hospitalization of sophomore defenseman Matthew Mayich. The X account belonging to Powers, 49, which is listed on his official Arizona State bio page, has seemingly been deleted. Seems it’s starting to become a pattern for the Wolverines, I didn’t realize how widespread the issues were. Would certainly make me think twice if I was a recruit into their athletics department, especially with the public renunciation of it by previous coaches, only to keep condoning it internally. I was never a defender of Mitchell Miller, but the hypocrisy of this kind of stuff happening widely and known, or the sexual assault stuff at Boston University, etc. that goes unpunished has to be a tough pill to swallow for a kid like Mitchell who had to face lifelong consequences. At some point the NCAA has to say it time you take some time off as we address the !@#$ show that is your athletic department. There should be a 10-year ban for a school's athletic department for any school that has sexual assault stuff and if you don't follow procedures and guidelines and get an athlete killed or disabled for the rest of their life. Coaches involved banned from the NCAA for life and AD fired. Michigan is like let's put this out there with how Arizona State has a big f-up. Arizona State is like maybe everyone will forget about us and focus on Michigan. I want names named Quote
yzerman19 Posted 50 minutes ago Posted 50 minutes ago I had to look up the BU stuff...2 dudes...15 years ago...neither prosecuted. Jack Parker dismissed them from the team. Quote
