Athletic Department Football Game Day Survey

For the many of you who readily criticize UND's game day experience, the Athletic Department has just put out a survey wanting feedback from attendees.  Now is a good time to share your ideas/concerns.  I would suggest that you leave your thoughts (plenty of areas to write your opinions) in a courteous manner rather the full-time bitching many of you enjoy!  Seriously, if you think things could be handled different/better, let them know.  I don't think the link below will work for you.  I think all Champions Club members will get an email plus all season ticket holders.

I tried to remain from being bitchy, but I offered some clear and thoughtful opinions when filling out this survey. Here’s a quick summary of my thoughts:

I talked about the intro needing some serious work. Would be cool to have something of our own and something people look forward to and actually hype up the stadium pregame. As much as I hate NDSU, what they have with Thunderstrck is cool, Montana State has a cool intro too. Whether it’s showing the tunnel walk, having a dedicated song of our own, (Believe it used to be Welcome to the Jungle in the late Mussman early Bubba days. Although it is kind of USA hockeys song, Free Bird makes a lot of sense.) etc… 

Not sure what they are able to do about this; but would be nice since it is home of UND football to have some more stuff around the building showing the history and making it more filled with UND stuff.

They brought up our opinion on the sound system, I feel like every year there are times where there are issues with that and I pointed that out. I know last year there was amost a whole quarter where the other side couldn’t hear anything. Also feel like sometimes it takes them some time into the game to get the correct volume levels.

Probably not doable or realistic, but would be cool to have some concessions/drinks promotions for games. Something like half off beers before kick off would be nice.

I responded as well! My main points were about how to liven the atmosphere up a bit. There are a lot of lulls in the games during all the timeouts that people quiet down too much. Need to keep the energy high throughout

Got to make the entrance or post tuddy celebraish the "Freebird" solo. It would be so electric. Who cares if it's the USA's hockey song? UND's hockey team copies just about everything the Blackhawks do, and nobody cares.

I filled out my survey as well.  Mentioned the time the PA was inaudible for nearly a half.  I also suggested a cheap one sheet roster of both teams would be nice to have like they did for a while.  It's a pain to find on phone and then go back to watching the game and then have open phone again.  PIA and inconvenient.

I was listening to USA WBC game a few nights ago and they played Freebird when the US got the third out to work out of a jam.  Was thinking it was a great crossover. 

I don't think it would ever happen but made me think it would be great to have a common song played after goals, TDs, during timeouts after big bb runs, etc.  I don't care if it's Freebird, Chelsea Dagger or something else.  It would be a nice tie across the atheletic teams.

They did Chelsea Dagger after TD’s a while back. I didn’t think it fit as well for football.

@Kab I agree! I think more game day ads in the GF Herald would benefit them! I also think they need to pass along when football fan events are a month in advance. I also do Game Day write ups on https://ftstspotlight.blogspot.com/?m=1
