The confidence aspect is huge. Look how Western rolled through the conference tournament and nationals last year. They carried themselves like they were unbeatable, and they were right.

Part of me would like to see UND loss in the seond or third round of the NCHC tournament. It is very hard to win a string of post season conference and national games. If they loss right before the national tournament, they would get a recharged and be at 100 percent going into the national tournament.

To me, there's no reason why the win streak can't start now.  You've got conference playoffs in your home rink.  The NCAA regional venue is in a neighboring state.  And, oh yeah, you're the host institution at the first ever Las Vegas Frozen Four.

Like I said earlier, I don't care if they have Patrick Roy in net, we need to make a statement this weekend. We are back, we are not the same team that faded down the stretch two years ago and we aren't going away. We also have a Penrose Cup to celebrate in front of our home crowd. So Mr. Latkoczy, get ready to face a lot of rubber this weekend. And be prepared to have your season end on Saturday night.

I haven't listened to the pod yet this week but I was doing a peeking at the last 3 weekends of Omaha's box scores. In the last 6 games they are 33% on the power play and 88% on the PK. Obviously their overall numbers are underwhelming but they appear to be a team who has progressed throughout the season. So let's play this series 5x5 please.

We also are 100% on the PK in the last 7 games, but I agree.  There's no doubt in the world we're the better team 5 on 5, no need to buy into their "rivalry".
