That's because they spend about 15 minutes prepping for the show.

Bucci: "Ok, we've got BC and BU live via satellite to talk about their upcoming matchups...then we interview Gavin McKenna for 15 minutes to talk about his adjustment to the college game."

Colby Cohen:  "For the remaining 30 seconds we'll throw the brackets of the four regions up on the screen.  The #1 seed in Sioux Falls is ND...that's Notre Dame for you college hockey junkies.  Wait, I'm sorry..ND is the North Dakota State Bison."

The show is so useless since everyone knows what the brackets are going to be right after the last game on Saturday.

They should just post the brackets on the interwebs once the final game is played on Saturday.

Better than listening to Bucci and Colby talk.

You just know they will put Bucci and Colby in the regional with Penn State so they can glaze McKenna the whole weekend

Hopefully it's only one game.  Just think, if Miami would have hung on to win the Frozen Four against BU we would probably never had to hear any of Colby Cohen's valuable insights.:glare:

There are times I don't think he's actually watching a game he's at calling.

So, I think it's safe to say that we both agree that he sucks.;)

Alex, Ben, Clint, SCSU radio guy, Denver guy, SCSU tv guy should all be calling NCAA games before Bucci and Colby.

I would think the tv network would pick the matchup that they think will be the most views. If we get a Big 10 team in the regional they might have them play in prime time.

I would agree - ESPN will choose early/late games based on potential viewers.  I would guess UND would be late, almost regardless of who they play, because that game would have the best optics for television.

Sure wish we were playing this weekend.

No, we needed the week off. We need to flush out whatever virus is running through the locker room and heal up any nagging injuries. We have to get as close as possible to 100% to have a chance at winning four games.

UND will play somewhere against some team that wants a title as badly as them.

Who and where matters not.

Control what's yours to control.

Bring the "A game".

Agree.  I think the loss was a blessing in disguise.  As long as any illness is over, we are entering the NCAA with a healthy, very deep roster, that should be able to wear down any team.

Regarding long TV timeouts, roster depth, and playing 4 lines, this was one area I felt Hakstol didn't manage very well.  I felt he was generally out-coached by the opponent during the NCAA tournament, especially the Frozen Four.  I don't have any statistical analysis or even specific cases off the top my head, but that was my general perception when watching those games.

FYP, I'm not sure you can say anyone outcoached Hak in the regionals where he had 16 WINS and 4 LOSSES!

That's an 80% winning percentage in the regionals if you're keeping score at home.

Flip over to the Frozen Four and he had 1 WIN and & 7 LOSSES for a 13% Win percentage.

I know this isn't news to anyone but crazy when you look at the split. Makes me wonder what those teams did in the 2 weeks leading up to the Frozen Four and what Hak might change looking back.
