The women have some really tough games left. Obviously, NDSU (2X) will be a complete handful for the gals.  It's almost at the end of the season, and as we know UND has struggled bigtime.  There was a lot of emotions around Jocie leaving for the rival.  Several said she would regret it.  She has now started all 24 games for the Bison, averages 10.8 ppg, and is on a team that is 22-2. Did she make the right move?

Who????

Kidding.  This year obviously she did.  College athletics change year to year so only time will tell for her entire career.

Enjoy it this year I willing to bet there will be big changes next year probably new coach Jory will be gon and Koenen also will be gone also. If Jory leaves could see couple more that could leave the program.  If this happens take year or two get the program settled again and could see Schiller also movin

Maybe Jory will be gone but it’s my understanding that moving up in the women’s game as a man isn’t easy. See Aaron Johnston as an example.

I think johnson pretty much committed to Sdsu  was once almost left and came back before he started his new position. The places he would consider probably just few and may not be offered for above reason. I think Jory would be much more willing to move if good opportunity did open up.

Went to college with Mark - daughter was the NSIC North Division player of the year at Mary.  Wonder if there is a potential fit?

EDIT to note:  She is following the other three Dakota schools on Twitter but not UND.....

Probably a long shot but she’s a player you out the chips on the table for.  With what I have seen from our guard play she’s a day one starter.

limiting turnovers and finding a scorer on this team is a step in the right direction.

After reading the X post I am going to say the bolded part is code for NIL Dad

Could be, but she could have left UMary for a division I program a year ago, so I respect the loyalty of staying with her hometown school for longer than many others may have. Just for the record, I've never met the guy. I just thought his daughter was a really good player in 2023 when Red River and Century played for the state championship, and was surprised she apparently didn't get much, if any division I attention. She seemed every bit as good as her high school teammate Logan Nissley IMO.

I'm sure she would consider the UND women's team in with the Bison and the Rabbits - seems legit

I definitely don't expect her to come to UND, but supposedly SDSU tends not to want transfers, and NDSU is going to struggle to come up with the money necessary to keep their current best players, so I'm not sure they're going to be able to offer much NIL money to anybody else. USD may be more realistic, if she doesn't get any power four interest.

She doesn’t fit what NDSU needs right now unless they have roster movement.  SDSU, not sure.

The program can’t complain about not competing but throw their hands in the air when good, local players become available.

in regards to Mark, he’s well connected and knows the game that is recruiting right now.  Can’t blame him for wanting the best for his kids who have the talent to make some money.  Also, what’s another parent posting on a message board??

Mark’s pretty well known in western North Dakota basketball circles. I’m not super involved in that world, but I know some of the Minot basketball parents pretty well. All I can say is I’ve never heard anyone say a bad word about Mark or any of the kids. Generally when you’re in a high profile position like that word gets out quick if you’re an a**hole. And I’ve never heard anything like that about the Kinnibrew family.

Mark is a great guy - only really knew him for a year and really liked him. I thought he would be cocky but wasn’t the case.
