This is a very insecure fan base because of Bubba and his predecessors.   This is a very good football team that is  getting better every week and is in a great position to win the Valley and be a top 2 seed.  UND will win by at least 35 next week against a team NDSU is struggling mightly against.

Eric already has more road victories than bubba did total the last two years 

Imo  und is currently the best team in the MVFC.  Ndsu and sdsu haven’t impressed against the lower tier teams they have played.  My words will be tested when November rolls around.  

 

Realistically und should be undefeated.  The two losses were last second losses on the  road to a ranked fbs team and top 3 FCS team.   Und literally gave away the two games.  They were clearly the better team in both 

I have one gripe.  Und has led comfortably every game (7 games) so far at the half.  Outscoring the opposition 167-37.  The second half in every game has been disappointing though. 5 games they have been outscored.  Only N Iowa and valpo have they outscored.  Need a full game !  Need to keep the foot on the neck and go for the kill .  Need to keep the intensity a full game!  Could come back and bite them against a quality opponent.   
 

kaminski is as important of a player as there is in the fcs.  He is truly one guy that CANNOT go down for und.  Absolute stud.

I think this staff puts a lot of emphasis on getting the twos and threes real game experience whenever possible. That can lead to giving up points the starters maybe wouldn't have given up. But if that helps build depth, then I am fine with it.

Not that I want to, but I'm ok if we give up some points late with the second team when we are up big. Get those guys some needed reps like you said. But the 3rd quarter the last two games hasn't been good. OC should maybe script his first 6-8 plays of the 2nd half, we keep going 3 and out.

I would agree that but the starters were still in lineup for most of if not all of the 3rd qtr for sure.   Its a moot point however as they have won pretty comfortably every win.   Just a small gripe of mine at this point.   

 

Also.  The D is back!!! Nice to see und being able subdue a team.  That to me is the most impressive change this year.  Impressive.

There has been a very noticeable shift in this program, and I’m loving it.

We are definitely getting better. To me a lot faster than I thought it would be. The transfers are better than we thought. And those we’ve lost to graduation or the portal, have affected less negatively than we thought. The cupboard wasn’t completely bare, but this staff is really coaching them all up. They now have belief. And expectation. And expectation to win. No more, “we hope to get a win“.  To be fair, I don’t know where we stack up against the SU‘s, yet. But this is the first time in a long time. I truly do believe that we are at worse, on par.

I think we were up 35-7 after 3 quarters. So we got outscored in the 4th quarter when there wasn't enough time left to come back.

I would rather give up cheap scores and play some backups so staff can evaluate and just as important have kids not playing know how soon they from getting meaningful reps.  Hopefully those kids will not necessarily jump into the portal and we lose team depth. Way more fun playing in winning games than watching from the sidelines.
