I think Dane will run the program similarly to Hakstol, which would have this make sense.  Hakstol built the team for the long-term at the expense of struggles early in the season.  There's a bigger picture at play.  It's not actively trying to lose, but building things the right way.

Thanks to the refs on two different occasions the Tommies still haven’t had a penalty called on them.

I thought Emery looked a lot better that period. He really struggled in the first but seemed to shake the rust off. He had a couple great defensive plays
