That will be interesting. I think the rule change allowing CHLers into the NCAA means that there will be very few completely dead periods in the NCAA Hockey world (& hockey world in general for that matter). August 1 recruiting, recruiting throughout the calendar year, NCAA season, various junior seasons, tournament, playoffs, pro signings, draft, international tournaments, etc.

Eventually it will iron itself out. A year ago these kids were not even eligible and there are already a handful of projected 2026 first round picks headed to college hockey this year or next year from the CHL. I’m sure a few more top 2008s will commit in the coming months.

All the more reason to have a full time GM.

Dane & Company have nailed these types of things this offseason that I don't think the previous regime would have done.

I really like how Bryn doesn't just do the job with recruiting, but also hypes, teases and engages the fan base. This staff has been doing everything right so far (we will see about jersey's soon enough). The question will be if they can put it together on the ice. Let's get back to the Hak Hockey expectations! I know there were a lot of pain points during the regular season with Hak, especially early on in the season, but you always knew you were making the tourney, and with a high chance to be in the Frozen Four. Would be really nice to get to enjoy some postseason hockey again.

You hit the nail on the head.

Bryn’s bat signals and social media presence is huge for the program and engagement. I have friends that are huge fans of other programs and they absolutely cannot stand the bat signal. It’s a really good way to promote the program.

Pretty "meh" in my opinion, just looking at them in the Siouxshop email.

They will look better when a new era of ND hockey officially starts on the ice with the guys wearing them.

Fans were constantly ripped in the Hakstol era for settling for appearances without titles.  That outcry was no small thing around here.

I happen to share your outlook at this point.

Oh I remember, and I get the frustration. There are always some vocal individuals that will always want more. But I'll take appearances and no titles, over no appearances at all. I know Berry had the one title (with Hak's team) then completely drove everything into the ground. I know we would have had a great shot in 2020, but there were no guarantees there either.

I just know that you can't win the tourney if you aren't even there.

Highly touted 2009 center & Red Deer Alberta native Brock England follows North Dakota on IG. He'll be with the Seattle Thunderbirds in the Dub full time this year for his 16 year old season. I would imagine he's one of many targets for Chyzyk and Jackson.

He has a picture at a UND game on his instagram as well.

When does Schlossman come out with his list of targets before the August 1 date?  List might look a lot diffferent than it did before CHL guys were part of the mix.

He told me via Twitter DM that he's hoping to have a big list (or two) out by early to mid next week. He's busy with multiple things going on so it'll be out a bit later than usual.

It would appear so, but I haven't done the biggest deep dive into the Canadian 2009s yet. Landon DuPont is in his own tier, then James Scantlebury, Alexis Joseph, Eli McKamey seem to be in the next tier, but I've read great things about Brock Cripps, Brock Chitaroni, Blake Chorney, Kaden McGregor, Camryn Warren, and others like Brock England. So not sure how big Tier 2 is but England is definitely a 4 star ranking.

With Boeser and Nelson, we should be the University to go to for a Brock!

Just checked it out, appears to be from the Colorado College series. Hopefully he & several others on that visit loved the Ralph & campus
