I’ve now seen Hak mentioned for the Gopher job and they’d gladly take him or at least the one to say it

How weird would that be seeing him behind the Gofer bench?

Yeah it would, he wants a NHL job so I don’t see it happening

Larson was a pivotal part of Duluth's golden years and took a rapidly deteriorating institution in St. Cloud to the championship game. While not the most recognized name, he's a good choice for them (whether their fans realize it or not). Guaranteed they hire a GM too; Cullen could thrive in that role.

It does seem lazy to go back to the same wishing well. The alumni/booster mingling and MN ethnocentrism are deterrents that their fanbase needs to be honest with themselves about; it's likely Raboin and Barr (as well as other quality candidates) weren't interested.

Are we sure Raboin isn’t the mystery candidate?

Based on the timeline from Wednesday to Friday's tweet, I don't think he even interviewed.  There may have been contact, but they were still in SF practicing up until the ADs tweet claiming he's staying.  Not that an interview can't be done over the phone...but apparently he was contacting committed recruits to Augie the day Motzko left.

YHH says Pat F. "wants to comet to Minnesota."  Michelleti immediately response that it's incorrect and "call me...."  That's a hilarious interaction, gonna have to go with Pat the Rat on this one.

Pat also said Bob was going nowhere.  He doesn’t know as much as he thinks he does.  Not saying that Fersch wants to go to Minnesota or not.

Is Minnesota doing the coach search differently than UND? With UND you had to apply. Sounds like Minnesota is just going around and offering interviews?

The AD was doing them while he was in Missouri.

I get the rush on the women, the portal opened today.  As long as Ben Gordon, Paul Martin, etc are in contact with recruits and the team, I have no idea why it needs to happen today or tomorrow.
