Duluth ends up tying it and winning it late. I really hope that they don't continue to get away with that crap on Saturday night. Duluth - priding themselves on diving and injuring opposing teams best players since 2011. 2 Quote
AlphaMikeFoxtrot Posted yesterday at 08:28 PM Posted yesterday at 08:28 PM We are officially on Motzko Watch Mode. Kalshi does not (yet) have odds that he is still employed by Saturday morning. Did his pension from the MNSCU system continue accruing with the U? Quote

If he's gone this offseason, Dane and Co need to be at the Cullen residence the very next morning. 6 Quote
farce poobah Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago For anyone needing a hockey fix, Mankato vs Ferris? Ferris? Ferris? https://tunein.com/radio/KTOE-1420-s35726/ 1 Quote
tnt Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago Will be interesting to see if Gross and Burnevik run it back another year at St. Cloud or take a crack at the next level. I’m sure there is interest to sign them, as they are a formidable duo. Quote

A guy wonders if they'd keep him around based on some of the kids on the radar for them. Very much in lame duck Berry 2.0 with them with a lot of excuses and pretty poor roster structure at the moment. Surprise....portal goalies every year is a band aid fix.... 1 Quote

Backs him into a corner and lets him dig himself deeper. Haha I listened to that podcast interview this weekend, and only one thought immediately sprang to mind. It would probably be impossible to find two more arrogant people in the college hockey world blathering on for over an hour than those two. I mean Carle has had great success, so maybe he has earned his arrogance, but as they say, pride comes before the fall. "We don't spend much time thinking about the portal because when guys leave here, they leave to cash checks in the NHL." What, did he say that two or three times? Ok, bub. 1 Quote

I show 10 DU players started the season in the NHL, and 13 UND players. Plus we have guys really producing like Blake, Nelson, Schmaltz, Pinto, Boeser and Sanderson, with the forwards either already at, or pushing for 20 goals. Other than Buium, which guys coached by Carle are making a huge impact? Brink? Quote

Reason enough to keep him around and see how he rebounds this off-season, at least that's my stance. He has acknowledged his mis-handled the last off-season. The cupboard is very full.....now how he responds from some obvious gaffes after last year. As a fan, I'm good with another year with the pipeline he has as long as he can keep some players around this year and fill in the voids with the portal. 1 Quote

I liked what Carle said on many fronts but a comment he made regarding signing kids out of the professional ranks stood out to me. I think he called it ludicrous. He didn’t name schools but CC jumped out to me as Mayotte went out and plucked Mats Lindgren from the ECHL (56 games with the ECHL Wheeling Nailers along with a small number of AHL game experience). Lindgren was easily CC’s best player in the short amount of time he played with the Tigers. I have mixed feelings about allowing this-on one hand as a fan, I was happy Mayotte went out to find a capable replacement for Burkholder but on the other, it just doesn’t sit right with me that we have players with professional experience dropping down to the college ranks. I believe Omaha went out during the break as well and got a guy with professional experience at the holiday break. 1 Quote

The signing of "pro-players" like schloss + Mike McMahon have mentioned is likely to only last for 1-2 more years max. All of the players signed from the ECHL typically would have been the guys that aged out the CHL then went college. (obviously they had no option to go to college when they had to make that choice so they signed in the ECHL / AHL) Now though those guys will age out and go directly to college. 1 Quote
.357 Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago There was talk on this board awhile ago about getting this guy into a UND jersey. Quite the acquisition for Mr. Ferschwiler. Quote
brianvf Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Huge pickup for WMU. He'll be a really good college player with his speed and motor. Quote
