Signing anyone and everyone is different than finding the athletes to make a difference. But I do agree that Sather could be running out the clock- or maybe he is interviewing for new positions so doesn’t care. 4 Quote

He is recruiting tri-state kids, including a couple of Power 5 drop downs. Not sure how that is blowing smoke. I guess we will know more this time next year. 5 Quote

GoodGood Posted April 27 Author Posted April 27 Another undersized big man. This one doesn’t even rebound. ORU message board was happy he entered the portal. Maybe something clicks for him here. I’ve lost about all interest in UND men’s basketball 1 1 Quote

WBB: spending too much time announcing and signing players MBB: not spending enough time announcing and signing players. Got it. 1 3 Quote

Men’s basketball either have a coach the is seeing out the clock as has been stated or are trying to bring in kids that can help. The womens program are just signing anyone who will say yes that isn’t a good strategy to get better. I hope I’m wrong but looking at Hutter’s commitments it doesn’t fill you with confidence. 2 Quote

Well, we have all had the chance to see commitments to the program that looked a lot better on paper so you will have to forgive us happy for a change. Quote

SiouxFan100 Posted April 27 Posted April 27 I am not expecting much from our bb teams for next year - women might might be slightly improved Quote

Just stick to hockey. Coach Hutter has done very well basically replacing a whole team with some high quality recruits with alot of upside. Im actually surprised what he got. He didn't go after all naia girls. Sather just picked up a undersized center who didn't even start on the worst team in the league. 3 1 Quote
fightingsioux4life Posted April 28 Posted April 28 Personally, I am giving Hutter, Schmidt and Jackson the benefit of the doubt, as all three of them have challenges they are working to overcome. Sather, on the other hand, has used up his grace period. 1 Quote

If you ignore the social media blitz from the new coach it would appear they are not. Quote
