Herder's projected up to date poll. I think I'd rather be 10 than 8 or 9 seed in this case and that kinda seems to me where committee would probably put us. Of course need to win next 2. But I think that would be the best scenario for us and would like our chances the best to have a chance to get to Nashville.

I don't see UND and Illinois State playing in the first round. That would presumably require SDSU to beat the Redbirds this weekend, which seems doubtful with the way things have been going for the Jacks the past month. I think ISU-red finishes 9-3 and gets a seed.

Ya I'm not so confident all the teams will be seeded like they are but I definitely could see us at 10 with the way the committee has ranked us so far. Which gives us 1 home game and would be on the road after that but I still think a 10 seed would give us the best chance to get to Nashville over an 8 seed and play in Fargo.

Whatever happens....I just dont want the #8 seed, that would be worse case scenario. Which then means its also probably the most likely to happen.

Yes don't want 8 or 9 if possible. 10 or 11 is better than 8 or 9 in this case.

The short answer is technical capabilities of the Alerus facility. 
It can no doubt be better, but there is way more limitations than there should be.
I believe the current scoreboard and some of the other related items are getting close to the end of their useful life, hopefully whatever replaces it will be a big step forward in that department.

Are conference matchups discouraged for first-round games, like in hockey?

If it came down to it, would you rather be 8 or 9?  8 would get you the bye, but 9 might be nice to get a (home) playoff game under your belt.

Yes I believe conference match ups are discouraged 1st round but 9 is way worse cuz then would have to travel for next game where as 8 gives u a home game as well and would give a bye to rest n heal up.

Well if we don't win next 2 probably shouldn't even be in. Losing 3 out of last 4 games doesn't really deserve a spot even tho we might still gst in. N yes I understand all been close but at this point can't have anymore close losses. Eventually you need to start winning those.

I agree with you. But I think we are probably 40+ point favorites over Bill Murray State and SDSU is just not the same team they were just a couple of years ago, plus we have them at home.

I think we win the next two and finish 8-4.

Yes I totally agree but I'm pretty sure Mason will be back for our game and yes their defense hasn't been great but some of that also is probably cause of poor field position. And if defense is always backed up cuz offense isnt getting anything it changes the entire dynamic of the game. And that was part of our problem against NDSU. Of course their punter has the punts of his life against us n made our offense have long fields almost every time.

Another projected bracket by SI that also us at #10 playing Ill State which I'm not sure about but I'm kinda thinking 10 or 11 might be where we would be selected also the way the committee has put us the last poll. And that would be great with how everything has gone since loss to USD.

Unless I am remembering incorrectly, I remember late Muss era/early Bubba era them showing the tunnel walk and running out to Welcome to the Jungle.

 

The Alerus not having the technical capabilities now but it was possible a while ago is laughable and disappointing.

I don't think they care about conference matchups, but if you played each other in the regular season they're supposed to avoid having you play each other in round 1.
