SIOUXELEVENS Posted March 9 Author Posted March 9 This team has way too much talent to play this poorly at times. Time to retire coach Berry if you really care about the culture.

I suggest we all stop going to games and watching until he is gone. This team went from blue blood to laughing stock wtf

This will come down to if the president has the balls to make the change because Chaves kisses Berrys ass. 1

nodakgirl93 Posted March 9 Posted March 9 I honestly worry about Chaves finding a new coach if and when that happens. But Matt Smaby seems like a good choice. Would he be interested though?

Popular Post MafiaMan Posted March 9 Popular Post Posted March 9 I'm just a dumb message board guy, but I’ve been beating this drum for what, 4-5 seasons now… Can you honestly tell me that no one on this well-paid coaching staff notices the epidemic of goals allowed by North Dakota teams less than 2:00 into a period or with less than 2:00 left in a period? 6
SIOUXELEVENS Posted March 9 Author Posted March 9 Is there any good reason to keep Berry other then the 500,000? Changing an assistant has been done before and same results. No playoffs in the REA and not a full arena for most of the year has to being costing more then 500,000. 1

SIOUXELEVENS Posted March 9 Author Posted March 9 Hey fellas be on your toes for the first and last minute we seem to give up goals in that time frame. How hard is that
BusinessSoot Posted March 9 Posted March 9 Predictions…… Berry retained one more year, KG let go, a CHL coach is hired to replace KG. And I’m not so sure Simpson was a good hire based on his lack of coaching experience and the on ice defensive results this year. So maybe he goes as well ? I get the vibe that Jackson would be a more respected head coach than current one amongst not only the current roster, but past players as well. How much more are the alumni/donors going to put up with current situation is the question, before Chaves has an angry army that he can’t ignore any longer…. Also, Hail to the Vicotors becomes new fight song for one or more on the current UND roster. 1
AJS Posted March 9 Posted March 9 Let’s not bring up Jackson again. That would be as insane as extending Berry. We could be one week away from a hard reset this program so desperately needs.

SIOUXELEVENS Posted March 9 Author Posted March 9 There is no good reason to keep any of the current staff unless the new coach wants to retain one of them. This program needs a reboot. 1

The empty seats thing doesn't matter as what 75% of the seats are season ticket holders and the money is already in the bank. Now if season ticket sales started to drop drastically that argument could hold.

AJS Posted March 9 Posted March 9 We’re a week or two from absolutes. • No home ice • Make the Frozen Faceoff? • Make the NCAA tournament • Win a tournament game • Make Frozen Four • Win National title Again, bringing up Bubba. The question I have is once you have a large enough body of work, does your coaching tenure ultimately come down to one game? IF the Football team beat Illinois State & finished 6-6, would Bubba still be coaching? IMO, not getting home ice is a big deal. I’m a believer that it’ll come down to a game. If they don’t make it to St. Paul or if they do and lose the first night. Berry won’t be coaching at UND next year. If they make it to the Championship and lose, I think he’s back, no extension. If they make a run and make NCAAs, extension. 1 1
