Wildfan Posted September 14 Posted September 14 After 2 negative yardage QB draws, you would have to expect a quick pass, most likely slants, and we keep no LB home to play the slant. Our DB was over the top and not inside. Easy quick slant TD for ISU. Quote

Sioux94 Posted September 14 Posted September 14 At a minimum Jerry better get the whole 4th quarter and would like to see him running the offense and not just hand the ball off. 1 Quote
fightingsioux4life Posted September 14 Posted September 14 We need a long TD drive to start the 2nd half. Don't let them think they are still in it. 3 Quote

Cratter Posted September 14 Posted September 14 If and buts But Pick six and two ISU turnovers in the UND red zone... "Real score" (cratter original) is like 17 to 7. Quote
UND Football Fan Posted September 14 Posted September 14 Lots of positives, once again many FBS transfers does not necessarily equate to instant success. Concerning of the inconsistent running game but ISU is hell bent to stop run especially between tackles. Need to go more outside zone or jet seeps, we had success with that. Passing game is looking more diverse which is good. Need to score first drive and then we can sub more on offense…defensively I would guess we will be more conservative with big lead and make them earn a long drive to shorten the game. We need to be that upper tier team and have another dominant half. Quote

We take what we have so far. Feel much better then our pattycake games against Drake, or our closer games against Drake. One thing that helps us is ISU is a quick pass team. Our DBs have played well in that aspect this year, its the longer throws over the top that have burned UND, but ISU does not have a good enough OL to give their QB time for those to develop. 1 Quote
Wilbur Posted September 14 Posted September 14 Maybe one more drive for the starters but let's not get dumb here in the 2nd half. Run the ball, snap it under 5, move the sticks. Quote
