A few years of losing to Warroad and they moved up to AA (not a single Roseau resident/fan will ever admit that being the reason although it certainly worked out pretty well for them as I played against that loaded 1999 team that won and they got another in 2007). I was a volunteer assistant with a girls bb team last year that played in the MN state tournament. The pre-tourney banquet for all the teams, the fun of playing in the big venue (Williams Arena), being in the tunnels and using the UM locker rooms, using the bench there were all part of the excitement. We had decent crowds for early rounds and a good crowd for the finals. Part of the experience was feeling like we were playing in something big. It wouldn’t have been the same at St Cloud St or Concordia St Paul. 2 Quote

Expand I mean they won when I was in high school. I am sure they need the stars aligned to do it but that's the way it is for most teams. I look at them the way I look at Lisbon or Napoleon in wrestling. When things are going well for them they can compete with the best teams in Class A. Not going to win very often but their best teams can. 1 Quote

Yes we lived on cars that each one has 8 bunks beds and 8 lockers. 80 man crews some wild stuff went on. Those small town bars loved our money though Quote
