Besides your prediction, what does Sather have to do the rest of the way and in the tournament to warrant an extension? I don’t know if this warrants it but I could see finishing 4-3 in this stretch and then winning 1 game in the SLT and Chaves extends him. Whether you agree with that or not is one thing but Chaves cannot lame duck Sather. Either move on or extend. 

Why use 7-10 games to determine if he deserves an extension? How about we look at the last 6 YEARS like any normal school/AD would do.

To me if they go 5-2 (really 6-2 if you count Saturday) that means they beat the teams they should, plus beat another top 3 team in the conference. Then if they win 2 games in the SLT that means they likely beat 2 top 4 seeds. That would be a pretty good run to end the year and worth adding a year to his contract (if adding just a single year is even a thing).

If they achieved all that I would think it deserves a multi year extension. I agree that right now Chaves needs to go and Sather’s future is up in the air, but what do you think the expectations should be at UND and why?

If all that happened he would have a career winning percentage of 36%. And you want to give him a multi year extension? Yea I think expectations should be higher than that. Why? Because that’s pathetic

I get that 36% is not good. I am asking why UND should have a higher win percentage. What is so amazing about UND that the win percentage should be so much higher?
