The guy goes 14-3 and is now unworthy of being a starter. Take away the sacks and Darnold still didn’t have enough time to throw to open receivers. Hard to blame Sam for that loss. Quote

Wilbur Posted January 19 Author Posted January 19 I was rooting for the Lions, was hoping Campbell could get the team to the Super Bowl at least. I thought Washington had a perfect game plan. Not once were they conservative in their play calling. Attack, attack, attack. You aren't going to beat elite teams with defense and field position any more in the NFL. It helps, but the guys that Detroit has on offense, you just aren't going to hold them down. NFC North goes ofer..... Quote
fightingsioux4life Posted January 19 Posted January 19 Too many injuries on defense finally caught up with the Lions. If they can keep this team together and healthy next year, they will be tough to stop. 1 Quote

Wilbur Posted January 22 Author Posted January 22 KOC signed to multiple year contract with the Vikings. The next coaching move would be whether or not Flores ends up somewhere. Guessing its Jax, or he's back in Minnesota. Quote

If they can keep this team together and healthy next year, they will be tough to stop. Lions still could/should have won the Commanders game, but play calling and turnovers killed them. They had to score almost every time that they had the ball because of the defensive injuries. The key point in the game was when they had a 3rd and 1 inside the 15 and were up 7-3. Instead of running the ball with Gibbs (who was unstoppable), they got cute and went empty backfield. Goff gets strip sacked and instead of being up 14-3, Washington took it the other way and went up 10-7. Goff also threw the pick 6 and the INT in the end zone just before half. Goff is a good QB, but he picked a bad time to have his worst game of the year. Ben Johnson did him no favors by taking the ball out of his hands and letting Jameson Williams throw an INT. Two very bad calls that may have changed the entire game. I like Ben Johnson, but he didn't have has A game and neither did Goff. On the other hand, it was just a matter of time because the defensive injuries just keep mounting. They would have to play mistake free football to beat Philly or the big 3 from the AFC. 3 1 Quote
Wilbur Posted March 10 Author Posted March 10 Thanks for everything Sam. He got paid, and thankfully it wasn't the Vikings paying him. JJ's team now. He's got all the tools to be the guy, and a lot of talent around him. I'd much rather have Sauce from the Jets than Rogers. Jones or Mullens the backup. You can pay Mullens less and get some interior lineman on both sides of the ball. Quote
Wilbur Posted March 10 Author Posted March 10 Got some interior help on the line. Need more..... Quote
