Wilbur Posted December 22, 2023 Posted December 22, 2023 Haven't heard anything about the Central kid that got hurt but I'm guessing some kind of surgery for the young man. Watched the video again and it just wasn't pretty.... Quote

Frozen4sioux Posted December 28, 2023 Posted December 28, 2023 Fargo North has some very good Forwards, plays the forecheck quite well and moves the puck at a very skilled level... I'm keeping them as my pick at the end this year. It's a good team. Quote
Wilbur Posted December 30, 2023 Posted December 30, 2023 Central knocks off Warroad. Knights probably back at the state tournament again this year. 1 Quote
Wilbur Posted January 6 Posted January 6 Devils Lake took North to OT. The young man in the nets for Devils Lake is the real deal. EDC tournament is going to be great hockey. 2 Quote
Frozen4sioux Posted January 9 Posted January 9 Just an absolutely packed night for high school hockey... Every team except CENTRAL, DEVILS, & BOTTINEAU is in action.. Ol' Bobby G gunna be burning the midnight oil into the wee hours with scoresheets tonight! Sure do appreciate that! 1 Quote

Johnny Five Posted January 10 Posted January 10 Maybe not a lot of interest in girls hockey here but it's just a sh*show right now. GF swept N/S on the season. On Saturday, GF was in Bismarck and put up 13 SOG total on Legacy/Bis (won 3-2). Travel to Fargo last night and beat N/S 5-1 to complete the season sweep. Jamestown (currently sitting 8) has now taken WF (currently sitting 1) to OT in both games this year....all the while losing to Devils Lake 7-1 a few weeks ago. The final 5 weeks is going to be an absolute mess for spots 6-7-8 to get into the state tournament. Quote

Johnny Five Posted January 11 Posted January 11 Wonder how many games will get whacked this weekend due to the....cold weather. Quote
Johnny Five Posted January 12 Posted January 12 Jamestown Sorlie with another 50 save night as the Blue Jays lose in a shootout to North/South 1-0. She has to be in the running for SR Athlete of the year with Abrahamson at this point. Devils Lake also took down #1 West Fargo 2-1. Wild season continues. Some matchups to look forward too this weekend if the cold and wind don't cancel: GFC at WF, North at RR (Friday) GFC at Legacy, Minot at North (Saturday). Some potential cross over games on Thursday night at state here. Quote

Against the better goalies, basically all you're gonna get are greasy goals and possibly odd man rushes. They aren't gonna get beat on a wrister from the slot they can see. Quote

Abrahamson can beat a goalie clean from the dots in. She can fire a puck. Great hockey player. 3 Quote

Pulls the trigger quickly, accurately and with deception. Going to be fun to follow her into the MIAC. 22 hours ago, Walsh Hall said: It's all about goalie play on the girl's side. Unfortunately for Minot, they are struggling to get into the top 8. Apparently Mandan has pitched 4 straight shutouts as well. Quote
