Looking at soccers records since going Division I they have had a losing record every year except one. It’s a perennially losing program. Cut the program or invest in the facility.

What is your solution to adjust numbers/money to meet Title IX requirements?

I agree it’s important to invest in the program which includes the facility. Trees around the facility especially the north and east sides, a modest sized Stands with restrooms and proper care of the field (if and when needed) would make a nice addition. I wouldn’t put in artificial turf unless absolutely necessary. Soccer is popular enough where it’s too important for women’s athletic programs to cut it.

I agree with you for once. The team goes winless and he's suing on Title 9 grounds? This case is DOA.

How many of the facilities UND competes in have been fully paid for by UND?

Find some donors and they will find a way to get it done. Money has been invested and they are still fundraising for additional upgrades.

Cut men's basketball or the bigger elephant in the room..... ND doesn't need two D1-jv football teams,  especially in this new NIL era.

Why invest in nothing but feeder programs for the bigger schools?

Not taking the bait here, but will things evolve to where an institution, especially smaller ones focus on single sports.  It will be interesting how the sports entertainment industry that colleges are engulfed in plays out...

I think at some schools the majority of focus is likely on only one or two sports especially those who only prioritize the couple they care about.

When Chaves is gone from UND I would expect we see an upturn in performances from our teams.

I assume talking about the elephant in the room is against site policy.  So perhaps vagueness and decorum will let this question pass.

How will the recent controversies and resignations affect UND?

I’ve been wondering the same thing (but also not sure where to post about it). It’s obvious there are a lot of powerful people who helped cover up you know what and for you know who and I wonder just how many are involved with UND…think that the surface has just been scratched

It's in the non-sports section of the local news.
