Maybe those 5 loss MVFC teams shouldn't get in the playoffs.

I'm not saying I disagree with you, but if after watching the game today you think ISU didn't look like they belonged based on their play, we weren't watching the same game. Game could have easily gone the other way.

All that being said, I'm not sure why the committee decided to put a 5 loss team in ahead of some of the others.

That 5 loss MVFC team looked a lot better than either Big Sky team. BSC should have only gotten 2 in this year. Weber is atrocious and Cal Poly has looked terrible since they beat SDSU. Typical Poly, no depth and as the year goes On they struggle

Weber definitely had a very poor showing vs a team that in my opinion beats SHSU next weekend.

If not for such a weak bubble this year Weber wouldn't have been in.   Weber had 30 yards less of offense against chatty than bama did last week.  Five TOs and two return for tds do not help.

A loss is a loss - oh I forgot in the MVFC it's about quality losses.

I'm not sure why that line keeps getting parroted here. All losses are not created equal. Do you really think that today's double overtime Michigan loss to Ohio state is viewed the same way as a blowout loss in regulation to a conference bottom feeder like Illinois? Who you lose to and how you play in that game matters, not sure why some in here find this concept so difficult to understand.

When looking at MVFC teams,  it gets tricky. they are almost certainly going to lose to NDSU. many play an FBS game,  and suddenly they are already looking at two likely losses right off the bat.

I don't think anyone less than 8-3 should be in the playoffs though.  6-5, 7-4 is not any good.  reduce the size of the field if necessary.  making the playoffs should be an accomplishment.

I personally like larger playoff fields. Look at the upsets that happen across all sports during one and done playoffs. It adds to the excitement for me anyway.
