That's not the whole story. When the defense is selling out against the run, play action works to provide time by misconception. Not to mention, Studsrud is mobile and needs to be involved on run-pass options to assess the defensive rush and not get blind sided.

There have been at least 4 plays were if an OL doesn't whiff we have a nice gain at least. That's not on Rudolph.

on any given game that und plays i have about a 99% confindence rate taht schmidt is better at his job than the opposing offensive coordinator...at this point i feel that rudolf is at about 10%

BAD. Wasn't expecting that on d. And with how Newell runs it's going to be tough to keep them out of the redzone. Someone needs to penetrate, their OL isn't big but they're getting the job done with leverage.
