So - Bubba and staff once again get out adjusted at half-time and blow a very winnable game and you're mad at Hockey fans?  Even if they are a bit fairweather for football the problem is more on the field at this point.  Maybe time for the staff to feel a little heat?

The staff should certainly be evaluating themselves and looking for improvement, but it's way too early in the process for the AD to be looking at making changes. If Bubba decided a change needs to be made, that'd be different.

feel the heat in there second year?   Doing OK considering the crap roster they inherited and losing six starters in 6 weeks, including the QB.  They had thin depth and it hit at thin positions.

Bemidji beat the #1 team in the country last week.

so to answer your question, NO!

So its like Oregon bragging about beating Wyoming who had beat Ohio State the week before.

While after Ohio State lost that game,  Oregon became the #1 team in the country.

Bemidji State's not ranked in the top 20 in college hockey.

Two straight losses in games in which they lead by double digits in the 4th quarter...folks can spin it how they want but that isn't what takes to make a winner.

Bubba needs to get this figured out....

I have read/heard lots of excuses the past 2 Saturdays.

Like what?   Cause there are some pretty damn good reasons why teams are throwing on them (Reyes and Arnell)  Or why they cannot pass (no Wrs).

They shouldn't cough these up, no.  But they are getting exposed and there is nothing they can do about it right now.

That doesn't explain mental errors or poor play calling

I understand your point about the talent and am not calling for Bubba's head by any means.  However, there are certainly some things about this version of Bubba Ball that I thought would be much better by now including poor special teams play, turning the ball over, many missed assignments, bland play calling that gets worse in the 4th quarter, the lack of effective half-time adjustments, poor communication at times, and horrible end of game collapses - these are things that are to some degree coachable. After the Muss era, in my mind we were promised more discipline on the field and on the sidelines. - Well, the sidelines are cleaned up.   I guess for me it's not so much that we lose, it's how we are losing.  And "hockey only" posters are right - we will not build a strong fan base of support with play like this.

Careful Oxbow!  Criticism has not been taken too kindly here tonight.

UND is not playing the level of sound football that is necessary to win when playing a conservative, defensive style of football. UND needs to win the turnover battle to be successful; so far, UND's defense can't force turnovers and UND's offense gives the ball away at the worst times.

Last week, against Idaho State, UND gave the ball away three times in the first quarter. In the fourth quarter, the defense desperately needed a stop or turnover, which they couldn't produce.

Now, in a game which UND led 24-10 in the fourth quarter, UND plays sloppy at the end and turns the ball over a couple times. Not to mention, UND missed a critical field goal earlier in the game and didn't force any turnovers. Unacceptable considering the style of aggressive defense and ball-control rushing offense that Bubba wants to instill.

Its time to preach and preach and preach to protect the ball and force turnovers.

If that doesn't work, then its time to change schemes and/or players on the field.

If that doesn't work, then its time to change the coaches who install the schemes and order the depth chart.

Right now, I think the offensive schemes are questionable. Also, the players do need to be better, but injuries happen and recruiting won't affect THIS TEAM (2015 UND football). Ultimately, the lack of turnovers forced by the UND defense and the unforced turnovers by the UND offense have been the difference the last two weeks - THAT NEEDS TO IMPROVE OR CHANGES NEED TO BE MADE!

I sure liked the play call that sealed the PSU game.  Sure didn't like how the final offensive play of he last two games unfolded.  No. Sure that is on the OC though.....

Yes, that was a nice call, but if UND's offense scores 4 touchdowns rather than bogging down in the red zone and settling for 4 field goals vs. PSU, that last play-call wouldn't have been needed. Point is, UND's inefficiency in terms of red zone offense and unforced turnovers is average to poor right now.
