808287 Posted February 22, 2015 Posted February 22, 2015 3 massive points. Not the third period i wanted to see, but drake is money with that backhand down low. Any road sweep is a good sweep? Go SIOUX!! Quote

Colorado Sioux Guy Posted February 22, 2015 Posted February 22, 2015 Siouxeeep. heck yes. The Ralph will be jumping next weekend. 1. work on PP (obvi) 2. Keep Zano from going insane(o). we need this guy more than any other player going forward and its not close. 3. buckle up Quote

Reformed Gphr Fan Posted February 22, 2015 Posted February 22, 2015 Of course WMU didn't show the replay of the game winner...anyone have a link yet? Quote
MafiaMan Posted February 22, 2015 Posted February 22, 2015 Finley threw the puck out of play with 3 Secones left, keeping the face off in our end, then the goal. Team gave up the goal on a horrible setup by the giant goof.Ummm...it seemed like a 15 minute review to see whether or not the puck was out of the zone before it went into the stands...if that face-off is outside the Sioux zone, Finley's a hero. Back on topic, big OT win. Way to save the day, Drake. Quote
GDPritch Posted February 22, 2015 Posted February 22, 2015 Wow, ugly sweep but I'll take it! Man, 7th place in NCHC W Mich would probably be sitting in 3rd place in the Lil6 ("Big10") conf. Undisciplined/not smart play at times but they bring it. The Sioux, they just keep winning (mostly) ugly baby. Quote
fightingsioux4life Posted February 22, 2015 Posted February 22, 2015 How are you all able to climb back on the bandwagon after breaking ankles jumping off? Quite a feat. Excuse me, but pointing out that we frittered away a 2 goal lead for the second consecutive Saturday is not "jumping off" the bandwagon. It's stating a fact. And it has become a disturbing trend for this team when they have a one or two goal lead in the third period. Being objective does not make someone a bandwagon jumper. Quote
SiouxAlum01 Posted February 22, 2015 Posted February 22, 2015 IMG_0371.PNG Stay classy WMU fan! Quote
iluvdebbies Posted February 22, 2015 Posted February 22, 2015 It's all about getting to three. We are 18-0-1 when scoring at least 3 goals this season. Just a reminder Make that 20-0-1. Quote
burd Posted February 22, 2015 Posted February 22, 2015 This team has only lost twice since Christmas (one in OT) in what is by far the best conference in the country. Not bad. Quote
OETKB Posted February 22, 2015 Posted February 22, 2015 Anyone else think Western Mich. is a very good team? I think they physically out-played ND this weekend, but ND stuck with the tenacious game plan and snuck enough goals in through hard work to sweep. This weekend should help UND play stronger down the stretch. Quote
SiouxScore Posted February 22, 2015 Posted February 22, 2015 Not happy about giving up the lead but nice job of refocusing and getting the win in OT. The team has been pretty solid with the lead most of the season but 2 Saturday's in a row is a little concerning but I'm confident the coaches will address the issue and expect there may be an increased focus on 6-on-5 situations in practice this week. Only was listening to TH but sounded like both of the Western Michigan goals came in kind of scramble situations and the 2nd one was soon after Caggiula had hit the crossbar so it didn't really sound to me like they were just sitting back like sometimes is the case with teams. OgioloD Posted February 22, 2015 Posted February 22, 2015 LaDue's shot blocked by a WMU player, puck went to Mattson who passed it to Drake in front of the net. Drake back handed it in. Looked like it may have been a shot by Mattson, but I think it was a pass. If it was a pass, it was an excellent pass. Quote
Dead Yedi Posted February 22, 2015 Posted February 22, 2015 All 8 teams in the NCHC are in the top 10 in toughest schedules in the country (UND #9). Cags is undrafted and our best player. Boom Quote
OgioloD Posted February 22, 2015 Posted February 22, 2015 ? I'm assuming it's a picture of the WMU fan giving the finger on both hands when they scored the tying goal. Quote
fightingsioux4life Posted February 22, 2015 Posted February 22, 2015 ? I have had similar problems posting videos and images; it's a little harder than it used to be. Quote
AZSIOUX Posted February 22, 2015 Author Posted February 22, 2015 Great pass by MATTSON! Just get that puck to drake and he can bury it Oshie style with that backhand wow. Just like 8 did last night on his backhander! JEWELS deserves an personal assistant, bodyguard and a private jet to Canada when need be He's been big time Quote

This weekend should help UND play stronger down the stretch. I think they are a physical team and that is really about it. Not a whole lot of skill and run around to try to throw hits more than they should. They are a team I wouldn't be concerned with at all facing again in the playoffs. Quote
