The Sicatoka Posted September 22, 2014 Posted September 22, 2014 I just heard about this on the local news. Please follow the link and look at the photo. If you see him, and he could be anywhere in the region since Saturday morning, he's probably in some sort of distress. Do what you can to help or at least call law enforcement. NDSU did not have Bearson’s age, height, weight, hair color or other identifying features, but released two photographs of the student. Just assume he's 18-20 years old. (I get not having height/weight for non-athletes, but don't college applications still require a DOB? Or can't they say because of FERPA.)
MafiaMan Posted September 22, 2014 Posted September 22, 2014 Any further update? That last tweet is almost eerie.
Cratter Posted September 22, 2014 Posted September 22, 2014 Yes and what does it pertain too. Why did he think he was gonna die?
dmksioux Posted September 22, 2014 Posted September 22, 2014 According to posts on KVLY's Facebook page, he was seen by a friend after that tweet. He went missing a few hours later...
Cratter Posted September 22, 2014 Posted September 22, 2014 And all the witness says was Bearson left the friends house shortly before 4. So did he walk alone?
The Sicatoka Posted September 22, 2014 Posted September 22, 2014 Updates from the Fargo Forum: http://www.inforum.com/content/updated-search-expands-missing-ndsu-student-including-campus-and-river
Cratter Posted September 22, 2014 Posted September 22, 2014 Mead needs to explain: where did they go? Were they looking for something? How did they get lost and how did they find they way back to Meads? I'm assuming they had left Fargo as a tweet about being so lost we're gonna die I wouldn't think would happen within city limits. Bearson had a cellphone with data. Which has a GPS. Bearson was with Meads roommate, Jake. Yet nothing on record from Jake who was in also lost with Bearson.
choyt3 Posted September 22, 2014 Posted September 22, 2014 Mead needs to explain: what does "dude it's jack" mean? Aka where did they go? Were they looking for something? How did they get lost and how did they find they way back to Meads? Bearson had a cellphone with data. Which has a GPS. Why is he tweeting Mead and not texting him? Bearson was with Meads roommate. "Dude it's Jake" I took it to mean Jake was using bearsons Twitter to send a message to Mead??

The Sicatoka Posted September 22, 2014 Posted September 22, 2014 This long without reported leads. Including the Red River, and an area that has a train yard, in the search areas. Here's hoping the young man found a fabulous distraction and has just been out of communication because of it.
The Sicatoka Posted September 23, 2014 Posted September 23, 2014 Fargo PD holding a press conference at 1 pm today: They've found a body in Moorhead with clothing and a description matching the missing NDSU student. My thoughts and prayers to the family.
The Sicatoka Posted September 23, 2014 Posted September 23, 2014 Seems FPD got a tip to search an area of Moorhead. Twenty minutes into the search they found a body. FPD is rather tight-lipped right now about details (as expected).
homer Posted September 23, 2014 Posted September 23, 2014 Thoughts and prayers to family and friends.
fightingsioux4life Posted September 23, 2014 Posted September 23, 2014 First the NDSCS-Wahpeton student and now this. Too many young people dying before their time.
remington_270 Posted September 23, 2014 Posted September 23, 2014 press conference say anything about foul play?

Hayduke Posted September 23, 2014 Author Posted September 23, 2014 That is sad, but unfortunately not unexpected, news. Prayers to the family.

The Sicatoka Posted September 26, 2014 Posted September 26, 2014 http://www.grandforksherald.com/content/ndsu-students-death-ruled-homicidal-violence-0 Cause of death of NDSU student Bearson: homicidal violence. Not good.
siouxforeverbaby Posted September 26, 2014 Posted September 26, 2014 The family is requesting that media give them time to grief and plan a funeral before they answer any more questions. I can understand that. My thoughts are with them. This is a horrible situation even without the news from last night. Hopefully, they get the chance to grieve and process everything that is happened by themselves. 1
MafiaMan Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 Nothing less than a terrible tragedy. No parent should have to endure that kind of pain and heartbreak - send your kid to college 3-4 weeks ago and he comes back home like this? Awful. My prayers are with the family.
The Sicatoka Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 The investigation of NDSU student Bearson's death doesn't seem to be progressing (at least publicly); in some ways it seems to be going the wrong way. Caution advised one week after discovery of slain NDSU student's body; police still have no answers Fargo Police Chief Keith Ternes told The Forum the day Bearson’s body was discovered that there was no indication the public was at risk. A week later, Jacobson urged the public to be cautious, ... So in a week of investigation, by how many law enforcement agencies, the Fargo / NDSU community has gone from "no indication the public was at risk" to "urged the public to be cautious". The Red River Valley does not need another "unsolved" situation like NDSCS / Andrew Sadek.
