AlphaMikeFoxtrot Posted December 24, 2025 Posted December 24, 2025 OSU has this kid who transfered after a year at Michigan State. Played juniors there so probably has/had a girlfriend in the area. https://www.eliteprospects.com/player/623785/kaden-nelson Quote
GeauxSioux Posted January 9 Posted January 9 Augustana is having a pretty good year, so far, for a fairly recent addition to D1 hockey. They are currently ranked #17. With that being said, I went over to the Sioux Falls newspaper site, the Argus Leader, to see how they are reporting it. Maybe I am looking in the wrong places, but I don't see that they are really being covered at all. It seems to be pretty heavy on basketball, but they have very little on Augie hockey. Kind of sad. cberkas Posted January 10 Author Posted January 10 Not bad in the Tri-Cities The stream was unwatchable as I rewatched it, audio was fine, video was god awful Quote
cberkas Posted January 11 Author Posted January 11 The Apple Cup game in Kennewick set the PAC-8 attendance record at 4,742. The Saturday game was empty from what I saw, but Tri-Cities had a game at 7. The guys calling the Friday game said they should play it here all the time since they mostly play in Seattle. They could have it on the off nights at the 5 WHL arenas at 7 on a rotation. Both are a long way from adding the sport sadly. Also, the Friday game was 10-0 Huskies. That might have kept people away from the game on Saturday. Quote

Not bad, has a CC and Sacred Heart feel. The locker room locations are god awful. A lot of space not utilized like one would expect. Quote

They'd rather put more money into football, lack of interest in adding hockey as a D1 sport, and other reasons 1 Quote

But if I was an AD, I certainly wouldn't use ASU or Augustana as any sort of justification for starting a D1 program in Oklahoma where there is minimal hockey connection or either minor or pro teams. So, yes shut it down. Or at least get a big ass donor to afford a good coach, facilities, and NIL. 1 Quote

AlphaMikeFoxtrot Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago Someone probably read how Penn State offered 700k and the next closest was 300k or whatever MSU offered for an expected generational talent and compared that to how much they spend on football bench warmers and a lightbulb went off. Quote
