SiouxVolley Posted November 5, 2018 Posted November 5, 2018 Pitt has added women’s lacrosse for 2022. Why report it here? https://pittsburghpanthers.com/news/2018/11/1/general-pitt-athletics-to-add-varsity-womens-lacrosse.aspx The addition of a women’s sport leaves open the Title IX possibility to start a men’s hockey team. SiouxVolley Posted November 12, 2018 Posted November 12, 2018 Oakland U may be looking at football in addition to hockey. But with it negotiating to buy the Palace at Auburn Hills, hockey may be much closer to reality. Oakland U has grown a lot (new med school, law school and research) after being given its independence from Mich St, and the now with an enrollment of 20k. https://www.wxyz.com/sports/are-hockey-and-football-in-oakland-s-plans-new-ad-steve-waterfield-will-have-to-find-out With Green Bay looking at football too, is a Horizon League or midwest non scholarship league possible? We'd still be a couple teams away, but man that would suck. 2 Quote

The only way to stop one, harden your campus and have a good guy or gal with a gun. 1 Quote

At UND, you could make it work by also having a 90 flex Bauer stick and a regulation goal in every classroom and kindly asking the shooter to stand just outside of the net. #scoringwoes 4 Quote

SiouxVolley Posted January 30, 2019 Posted January 30, 2019 So Kansas City’s Arrowhead Stadium may host a future Frozen Four? With the amount of work they have put into the new arena project and the outspokenness of their AD or President since the NHL sponsored study, I can't see this not happening. And the more teams the better. Tons of parity in college hockey, and maybe more teams can help UND separate themselves from the pack again, as talent gets diluted across more teams. Quote
