Goon Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 I read the Goon's Central Division preview...he used Wild and 'elite' in the same sentence...To quote the great John McEnroe, "You can't be serious!" Guys, guys, guys.... I must give the correct credit where credit is due. Zach wrote that, Central Division Preview. But I did write this today at the Hockey Wilderness. Quote

MafiaMan Posted September 19, 2014 Author Posted September 19, 2014 That's because they are wearing Bruins' colors. Thank you. I think the yellows are different and it's nice to see the three Pittsburgh teams all wearing the same colors again. I like it. Quote

Ray77 Posted October 5, 2014 Posted October 5, 2014 The Islanders got Nick Leddy from the Blackhawks and Johnny Boychuk from the Bruins today. Both teams needed to make salary cap moves and the Islanders capitalized. I did not want to see Boychuk get traded. He will be missed in Boston and will be a great addition to the Islanders. 1 Quote

farce poobah Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 I think the NHL went the wrong direction on this shootout thing. Instead of prohibiting spin-o-rama's, they should have required spin-o-rama's. That would have greatly increased the entertainment value of the shootout. Especially the later rounds. Quote
cberkas Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 The Av's are in talks with the league to host an outdoor game next season. Quote

The "entertainment" is the game. Save the one-on-one shoot-out gimmick for All-Star weekend. Quote
Blackheart Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 Instead of a shootout, they should have a relay race with the puck...pick three guys for each team, each player goes up and down the ice once and the winner of the race gets the extra point. For extra fun, they could put a couple cones (or Gofer defenseman) out there. 1 Quote

MafiaMan Posted October 14, 2014 Author Posted October 14, 2014 Wow! How in the name of Gordie Howe can Miami financially sustain the Panthers? The crowd at an NCAA western regional hockey tournament in Sault Ste Marie, MI would dwarf the one currently attending the Florida/Ottawa game. Quote

MafiaMan Posted October 14, 2014 Author Posted October 14, 2014 7,311 and the pictures make it look worse then every NCAA regional. It didn't look like more than 2,500 tops. Not good at all - that's supposed to be a professional team, right? Quote
