MafiaMan Posted October 7, 2013 Posted October 7, 2013 They need the interlocking ND on the side of the helmets. Agreed. They also need the green/white/black number scheme instead of the black/white/green number scheme...although they b/w/g is probably much easier to see on TV and in the press box. Quote

as15 Posted October 7, 2013 Posted October 7, 2013 In order to maximize the talent on the ice, does anyone think we will see a defenseman play forward, specifically Stecher, this year? Quote

MafiaMan Posted October 7, 2013 Posted October 7, 2013 I was a big fan of fhe green numbers also. I loved how that looked on the black jerseys as pictured below. LOVE LOVE LOVE them! Back on topic, should be another exciting year of Fighting Sioux, er, North Dakota, hockey! Quote

as15 Posted October 7, 2013 Posted October 7, 2013 Me too, I thought Mattson was fine. The only thing I can't stand is he always tries these soft backhand passes at the offensive blue line that never seem to work. Quote

BobIwabuchiFan Posted October 7, 2013 Posted October 7, 2013 Stretcher looked pretty good last night handling the puck and moving around the net while going deep in the zone...He's probably a transitional forward-defensemen caliber because he has speed, good hands, and from what I saw of his passing he seeks open space and can find the open guy pretty well. I didn't see him unload on anybody because of his smaller size, but he fights in the corner and his overall speed was impressive. I really like the overall team speed this year...maybe I'm seeing things, but they looked really fast! Quote
Redneksioux Posted October 7, 2013 Posted October 7, 2013 They did look very fast but maybe it was just the competition they were playing. And for Rocco being a smaller guy he can sure put a bigger opponent to the ice. Love his aggressiveness. Quote
Fetch Posted October 7, 2013 Posted October 7, 2013 What is the story on Strecher never heard of him - I even had trouble reading his name on uniform Quote

burd Posted October 7, 2013 Posted October 7, 2013 It's hard to know when you see the game online and not the whole ice in person, but I thought Murphy showed some good things when he touched the puck last night. Quote
Wilbur Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 As far as the uniform is concerned, they need something on the sides of the helmet. Maybe North Dakota in a cursive script above the ear holes or something like that. Would make the green jerseys and breezers fit that much better. I'm glad they got the green breezers that looked exactly the same as the mid 90's ones. Gosh, just gave me goosebumps right away. Quote
Emerald joker Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 Ok was it just me or did Schmaltz look sloppy again? Johnson looked good, I honestly can't remember the last time a Sioux player skated to the net and scored like that Quote
