bisoninnwmn Posted September 28, 2013 Posted September 28, 2013 We scored 28 points on SDSU and NDSU only scored 20.... so we are clearly the better offense right? Ya, probably. Quote
WYOBISONMAN Posted September 28, 2013 Posted September 28, 2013 If Muss coaches the team next season good luck promoting the team. Its going to be tough to get butts in the seats after these two blowouts and more losses to come. No way will Muss be coaching next year. He is done. Dead man walking. Quote
dmksioux Posted September 28, 2013 Posted September 28, 2013 When was the last time UND gave up 62 points? Quote
UND92,96 Posted September 28, 2013 Posted September 28, 2013 When was the last time UND gave up 62 points? UND gave up 65 at Stephen F. Austin in 2009. Quote
dmksioux Posted September 28, 2013 Posted September 28, 2013 UND gave up 65 at Stephen F. Austin in 2009. Ok, another Muss coached team. When was the last time we gave up that many at home? Quote
UND92,96 Posted September 28, 2013 Posted September 28, 2013 Ok, another Muss coached team. When was the last time we gave up that many at home? Probably the Johnny Bailey Texas A & I game of 1986, or an NDSU game of the same era. Quote
darell1976 Posted September 28, 2013 Posted September 28, 2013 When was the last time UND gave up 62 points? at home....1986 67 to Texas A&I (now Kingsville) and 62 to NDSU RT's first season Quote
sioux81 Posted September 28, 2013 Posted September 28, 2013 Maybe Hakstol is laying around with nothing to do on Saturdays, let's ask him to finish the season. Quote
sioux81 Posted September 28, 2013 Posted September 28, 2013 Defense gives up 592 Yards total offense, 321 on the ground...OUCH Quote
darell1976 Posted September 28, 2013 Posted September 28, 2013 No way will Muss be coaching next year. He is done. Dead man walking. I wonder how much it will cost to buyout Muss's contract extension? Quote
geaux_sioux Posted September 28, 2013 Author Posted September 28, 2013 I wonder how much it will cost to buyout Muss's contract extension? That's the plus side of having low end coaching salaries. I only wish MSU could have put up 80 pts today. Quote
sioux81 Posted September 28, 2013 Posted September 28, 2013 He should pay UND back for loss of revenue from ticket sales, recruiting losses and damage to the image of the footbal program. 1 Quote
The Sicatoka Posted September 28, 2013 Posted September 28, 2013 No way will Muss be coaching next year. Can we change that to next week? Quote
UND92,96 Posted September 28, 2013 Posted September 28, 2013 I wonder how much it will cost to buyout Muss's contract extension? I'm guessing it's in the $225k range on paper. However, the contract probably has a clause whereby that amount is reduced by the amount he receives for his next coaching job, so it could end up being quite a bit less, particularly if he catches on as a dI assistant somewhere. Is there a "losing season, you're fired, extension void" clause? Quote
WYOBISONMAN Posted September 28, 2013 Posted September 28, 2013 Can we change that to next week? Earlier I had posted that there was nothing to be gained by dumping Muss prior to the end of the season. Clearly he is taking the program to such lows that he really needs to go right now. Stunning how terrible he is. Quote
PhillySioux Posted September 28, 2013 Posted September 28, 2013 If it's been mentioned sorry, but good to see that Windfelt was On the sidelines in street clothes . He's lost some weight! 1 Quote
The Sicatoka Posted September 28, 2013 Posted September 28, 2013 I still say he should have been put on notice after the cluster at UNC to end last season. The Montana game should've been the final straw and the bye week would have served as time to get the interim up to speed. Quote

Guy was checking scores on his smartphone at the SDSU game and just goes, 'No way is this right.." Quote
UND99 Posted September 28, 2013 Posted September 28, 2013 Hey, at least we're still only two FCS natties behind NDSU... Quote
WeAreNorthDakota Posted September 28, 2013 Posted September 28, 2013 What the heck happened out there today? Guy was checking scores on his smartphone at the SDSU game and just goes, 'No way is this right.." Quite simply, somehow, the defense has gotten worse than last year. There just isn't any fire from anyone on field. The whole team is just going through the motions and they're not talented enough to hang with a good team when they're not motivated. The team's given up. Quote
Cratter Posted September 29, 2013 Posted September 29, 2013 Everyone knew the game was over after the first drive by MSU...when once again we saw how easy a team can drive on this defense. Quote
fightingsioux4life Posted September 29, 2013 Posted September 29, 2013 Just remember this is the 20th anniversary of the UND 22-21 win over NDSU breaking the 12 year losing streak. The TD we gave up right before the end of the first half was very similar to the TD that ended the losing streak 20 years ago. Weird. Quote
Sioux95 Posted September 29, 2013 Posted September 29, 2013 As long as there is hope, I can enthusiastically follow this program. Ironically, the only hope left is for a terrible enough season that a coaching change is guaranteed. Quote
